Little Missy - SBC SS 16

This Scrapbook Challenges sketch #16 Sizzlin Summer is the final one in the series. This month so went by fast.

Here is my take on it. As you can see I scrapped some baby pics of my mom.
Supplies: pattern paper (American Crafts and Basic Grey), stickers (Basic Grey, American Crafts and Bo Bunny), doilies (Doodlebug Designs), tags (American crafts), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps) and cork die cuts (SpiegelMom Scraps)

A little mad Thicker cutting doctor made her appearance again. I ended up having to cut "8's" into "S's".

Little Mister - SBC SS 15

While, I got most of yesterday's things done but there are a couple of things left, like paint those terracotta pots. However, that might be put off still since I don't really want to paint them in the garage if it is rainy.

Today,s Scrapbook Challenge Sizzlin Summer sketch #15 reveal.

I kept is so simple on this baby page of my uncle.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics and American Crafts), pattern paper (DCWV), sequins (SpiegleMom Scraps), cork shapes (SpiegleMom Scraps), embroidery floss (DCM), stitching template (American Crafts), stickers (American Crafts)

I love the hand stitching on this page. It is fitting for a baby layout,

Right Now School Days - SBC SS 14

Happy hump day. Today is a busy day for me. I have listings for Etsy, blogging, update some social media for business and dt work, cooking, painting some terracotta pots for a Halloween and some kitchen organizing.

Sizzling Summer sketch #14 from Scrapbook Challenges.

Here is my take on today's sketch. I ended up scrapping some school pics of my mom. I did black and white copies to make them look cohesive.
Supplies: pattern paper (My Mind's Eye), chipboard (Crate Paper and Prima), stickers (American crafts and Basic Grey), embriordery floss (DCM), bakers twine (Bella Creationz), stitching template (American Crafts), doily (Doodlebug Designs), washi tape (Studio Calico),wood veneer (American Crafts), journaling card (Simple Stories).

The stitching on here took awhile to do it but it was so worth it. It seems to pop off that busy background.

I love that little cake stand. It looks perfect to hold part of the title,

Making The Grade - SBC SS 13

This is the last week for the month long event Sizzlin Summer at Scrapbook Challenges. Today's #13 sketch is one that I created.

Here is my take on it. I ended up scrapping an class photo of my dad.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper studio), pattern paper (American Crafts and Fancy Pants), stickers (Simple Stories, American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Crate Paper,Photo Play and Fancy Pants), washi tape (Studio Calico), string (American Crafts), transparency (Studio Calico), wood veneer (Freckled Fawn)journaling card (American Crafts) and mist (Heidi Swapp)

I love all the layers I did on this. It allowed me to use some of the odd and ends of stickers.
The string I used on the paper tags came from some metal rimmed tags from American Crafts, which I used the tags on a different layout but I didn't need the strings.

Happy Friday everyone. The end of the work week is finally here unless you are like me and being self-employed means work days are any days and weekends turn into them. ;)

I ended up scrapping this old photo of my Jido and uncle when they we at a lake back in the 40's.

Of course I came across the perfect sticker for "BE" and realized I had to use the 3 as an "E".

Peter Cotton Tail - SBC SS 09

Good afternoon everyone, I thought I should post the Scrapbook Challenges #09 Sizzlin Summer sketch before I get my hands covered in dough. Tonight, I am calling it Italian night. I am making homemade paste with saute tomatoes with bread sticks and for dessert shaved coffee ice.
Supplies: cardstock (American Crafts and The Paper Studio), pattern paper (K & Co.and Inkadinkado), sequins (SpiegleMom Scraps, use coupon code mandi15 when you shop at her shop), stickers (Crate Paper, Basic Grey and Prima), stitching template (American Crafts), embroidery floss (DMC), washi tape (My Mind's Eye), border punch (Fiskars) and ink (Close to My Heart)

Here is a closer look at the title work.

I used an embossed cardstock for the background but wanted the pattern to pop so I rubbed an ink pad across the top.

Masculine Birthday Card - SBC SS 07

Today's Sizzlin Summer  sketch #07 from Scrapbook Challenges is a good one. However, I was having a hard time finding photos for this layout design so instead of skipping this sketch I did something different.
I ended up created a great masculine birthday card.
supplies: cardstock Canvas Home Basics), pattern paper (Fancy Pants Designs), embossing folder (Studio Calico), ink (Tsukineko), die (Heidi Swapp) cork die cut (SpiegelMom Scraps), stamps (Peachy Keen and Stampabilities), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps)and chipboard (Simple Stories)

I even did the matching envelope seal with it. I am all about the details.
I love how this card came out. I think this Good Fellow collection from Fancy Pants is my favorite collection from them since Trendsetter.

Fun @ The Lake - SBC SS 02

Here is my take on it.
Supplies: cardstock (Die Cuts With a View and Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (My Mind's Eye and American Crafts), mist (Ranger), chipboard (BoBunny),border punch (Ek Sucess),  sticker (American Crafts, Studio Calico, Scenic Route and My Mind's Eye) and pen (Project Life).

To create the title, I used a mixed of stickers but I didn't have the right letters for those block ones so I took a pen and wrote the letters I needed..

I can't believe I had the "Loud & Proud" sticker still. It came from a old company called Scenic Route.

A War Reunion - SBC SS 15' #13

This might be a shocker for some that I have today's post up at a decent time. Today's, Scrapbook Challenges sketch for Sizzling Summer 15' is sketch reveal #13
I changed it up a bit by playing with the length of the top pattern.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Cosmo Cricket and Crate Paper), stickers (Echo Park, Carta Bella, Studio Calico and American Crafts), doily (Doodlebug Design) and chipboard (Um Wow Studio).

Here is a close-up on the title work. Even with such a busy font background I still mixed up my alphas. I ran out of the letter "E" and "I" in the "reunion" so I just flipped the 3 and cut up to "Js" to create the "I".
