Last Two SBC Sizzling Summer 15' Sketches

Today is the last day for the sizzling summer event over at Scrapbook Challenges. I am going to share the last two reveals today in this one post.
The is today's flashback Friday post

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio and Die Cuts With a View), pattern paper (Jillibean Soup, Cosmo Cricket and K & Co.), stickers (Studio Calico, October Afternoon and Fancy Pants Designs ), rub-ons (Making Memories), twine (Timeless Twine), washi tape (My Mind's Eye and Scotch Brand), journaling spot (?), stamps (K & Co. and American Crafts), tags (K & Co. and Chic Tags), wood veneer (Studio Calico), brad (Eyelet Outlet, safety pin (Karen Foster), chipboard (Um Wow Studio), pen (Project Life), flower (K & Co.) and doily (Doodlebug Design)

Here are the close-ups on this 8x8 page.

The "dog" was done in Making Memories rub-ons I have had in my stash for a very long time. I can't believe they are still good.

That fabric flower was from aK & Co. that has been in my stash for about 7 years.
This sketch was #15. It was yesterday's reveal.
Here is my take on it.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio and Coredinations), pattern paper (Fancy Pants Designs, Echo Park, Crate Paper and American Crafts), stickers (Carta Bella, Crate Paper, Fancy Pants Designs, October Afternoon and Jillibean Soup), die cuts (American Crafts and Elle's Studio), paint (Tattered Angels), doily (Doodlebug Designs), journaling card (Project Life), electronic die cutter and cartridge (Provo Craft), twine (Timeless Twine), stitching templates (American Crafts), brads (Eyelet Outlet), sewing machine (Singer), thread (?), nail file and pen (Project Life)

Lately, I have been embracing the wonkiness of handmade. I would have normally drew a circle on my page and than follow the line when I wanted to stitch around an object.

I love the die cuts American Crafts has. I am addicted to them.

I did it. I ended up doing all 20 layouts for Scrapbook Challenges this month. First time that has happened since I joined the team in 2013.

Morning everyone, I am going to make this a quickie, since I am about to head out the door to the Farmers Market.
Today's sketch reveal is #14 over at Scrapbook Challenges is a super simple one and I kept my version of it simple.
Here is my take on it.
Supplies: cardstock (The PAper Studio and Core'dinations), pattern paper (Colorblock), stickers (American Crafts and Basic Grey), chipboard (Um Wow Studio), wood veneer (Studio Calico kit), marker (Faber-Castell), stain (Tim Holtz), and washi tape (Scotch Brand)

A War Reunion - SBC SS 15' #13

This might be a shocker for some that I have today's post up at a decent time. Today's, Scrapbook Challenges sketch for Sizzling Summer 15' is sketch reveal #13
I changed it up a bit by playing with the length of the top pattern.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Cosmo Cricket and Crate Paper), stickers (Echo Park, Carta Bella, Studio Calico and American Crafts), doily (Doodlebug Design) and chipboard (Um Wow Studio).

Here is a close-up on the title work. Even with such a busy font background I still mixed up my alphas. I ran out of the letter "E" and "I" in the "reunion" so I just flipped the 3 and cut up to "Js" to create the "I".

Report: Play & Eat - SBC #433

Scrapbook Challenges sketch reveal #433 is a great simple grid style. I have found out that I love grids but I don't seem to do them that often.

Here is the companion page to Buster's birthday layout I posted here. Yes, it is an 8x8.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Studio Calico and Studio Tekturek), journaling cards (Project Life), stickers (Elle's Studio and American Crafts),  wood veneers (Studio Calico), washi tapes (Scotch Brand and We R Memory Keepers), enamel dot (My Mind's Eye), sequins (Hazel & Ruby), stitching template (American crafts), twine (Studio Calico kit) and doily (SRM Stickers)

Here is the hidden journaling.
I love the the title cluster.  It draws your eye to what would be an overlooked element.

Coastal Festival - SBC #424

This is my take on Scrapbook Challenges sketch reveal #424

I kept the sketch as is but changed up the sizes of the photos.
Supplies: pattern paper (Webster's Pages, Studio Calico and Echo Park). journaling card (Webster's Pages), wood veneers (Studio Calico), mist (Tattered Angels), tags (K & Co.), chipboard (My Mind's Eye and Um Wow Studio), mask (The Crafter's Workshop), enamel dots (Twine + Ink), diamond grid (Studio Calico kit exclusive)

Those little tags I found in a mini smash book I had for a few years now. I am not a smasher but I seem to be collecting them. I have three full size and 1 mini.
These little wood alphas came in a kit from Studio Calico. I am in love with them.
Thanks for dropping by and be sure to keep on checking back for more inspiring ideas.

Past Scrapbook Challenges Layouts

It has been awhile since I shared my layouts for Scrapbook Challenges.  The pages I am posting today are for three the last three sketch reveals.
Sketch 419
This page has to be my favorite. I was able to use some old Glitz Design papers that I got in a prize package from Creating Keepsakes about four years ago.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Authentique, Echo Park and Glitz Design),  journaling card (Project Life), stickers (October Afternoon, Authentique, American Crafts, Me And My Big Ideas, 7 Gypsies and Studio G) twine (Timeless Twine), doilies (Doodlebug Design), gems (Prima), bingo card (Jenni Bowlin Studio), washi tape (7 Gypsies), mist (Tattered Angels), stamps (Karen Foster), ink (Stampabilities), sequins (Studio Calico) sewing machine and black thread.

This pages is just simply cute. I created a little file folder to store my journaling and contest ephemera. The photo was taken at Petco costume contest this year. I made his alien costume in two short evenings.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio and American Crafts), pattern paper (Glitz Design, Fancy Pants Design and Echo Park), stickers (Authentique, October Afternoon, Studio G and Basic Gray), chipboard (Um Wow Studio), sequins, journaling card (Project Life) and doily (Doodlebug Design)

This page was a fast and simple. I am not too crazy overy this page but at least I have these photos scrapped.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Crate Paper and Cosmo Cricket), washi tape (Scotch Brand), stickers (Studio Calico and American Crafts), mist Studio Calico and Tattered Angels), tine (Timeless Twine), mask (Studio Calico) and wood veneer (Maya Road)

Thanks for stopping by hope you are having a great thanksgiving week. Tomorrow is my big day of cooking. I do more cooking tomorrow than on Thursday. Pie, cheesecake, meat fataya, punch, cranberry salad, cranberry sauce, dip, and maybe a cheese ball.

Having Fun... - Child's Play Challenges

Hot Wheels is the inspiration toy for the second challenge at Child's Play Challenges. When my brother and I were little you hardly ever saw a hot wheel car in our home, the only time you did was if it came in a happy meal. However, this challenge was an easy one for me because we did have pinewood derby car. I love those races at church. My brother got trophies and I got participating ribbons.

Supplies: cardstock (American Crafts and The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Crate Paper), chipboard (Crate Paper and Um Wow Stdio)), twine (Timeless Twine), journaling card (Project Life) brads (My Mind's Eye and Basic Grey), Stickers (Heidi Swapp, American Crafts and Studio Calico), mist (Tattered Angels), inl (Stampabilities), stamps (Paper Bakery), washi tape (Scotch), pen (Project Life) and diy enamel dots.

I like mixing different fonts for titles. It adds so much more interest .
That little orange brad is from a My Min's Eye Halloween collection.
I love doing hidden journaling. Adding stamps and an arrow just to show that there is hidden journaling. I am one who would forget.
Here is the journaling. It is not much but I felt with all the different patterns on this layout I couldn't do the journaling on the page without it getting lost.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check the full reveal over at CPC
