Right Now School Days - SBC SS 14

Happy hump day. Today is a busy day for me. I have listings for Etsy, blogging, update some social media for business and dt work, cooking, painting some terracotta pots for a Halloween and some kitchen organizing.

Sizzling Summer sketch #14 from Scrapbook Challenges.

Here is my take on today's sketch. I ended up scrapping some school pics of my mom. I did black and white copies to make them look cohesive.
Supplies: pattern paper (My Mind's Eye), chipboard (Crate Paper and Prima), stickers (American crafts and Basic Grey), embriordery floss (DCM), bakers twine (Bella Creationz), stitching template (American Crafts), doily (Doodlebug Designs), washi tape (Studio Calico),wood veneer (American Crafts), journaling card (Simple Stories).

The stitching on here took awhile to do it but it was so worth it. It seems to pop off that busy background.

I love that little cake stand. It looks perfect to hold part of the title,

A Time to Visit - SBC #487

Sketch #487 from Scrapbook Challenges is one that is great for that one photo that is special and you want to showcase it.

Here is my take on it. I ended up scrapping a Christmas photo from the 71 of my mom and her aunts. Because it didn't look like a very Christmasy looking I decided to treat it as a everyday moment.

   Here are a few close-ups.

Explosion Box Card

I have been seeing these pop-up box cards all over online for the over a year now. I always wanted to try to make but but I always forgot to get the directions before I wanted to play with my paper items so it took me over a year to actually, remember to find a how to.

I ended up making one for my mom's nirthday and found that I loved the outcome even more so I made another one as a giftcard holder birthday card for my shop.
I

Last month, I finally ordered a rubber stamp for the back of my cards. I love the font. I ended up getting it from Stampin' Place. I found that their prices were great and their selections.

I ended up using a SRM Sticker bag on the back panel of the card so it could hold a gift card.

My May Cards

This past month I have been super busy juggling my usual housework, including the yard, design team work, holidays and my MJ's Kraze etsy shop. Even though that sounds like a lot it is even more mind blowing when I say I made over 50 just in May. That is right I did over half of my usual card making amount in just one month.
Here are some of the cards I made. These were 30 cards I did for a custom order for Clear Choice Custom Lasik Center in Brecsksville, Ohio, that was were I did my two eye surgeries for keratoconus. I am pleased on how these came out and was able to complete them in 3 days. Not bad since it was my first time doing computer printed sentiments and back logos.

If you like my work but don't see anything in my shop that fits your needs I can always do custom work.
