Sketch-N-Scrap Application

Yesterday, I found some time to get a couple of layouts done. One of them was of a Christmas that took place about 15 years ago. Man, I feel kind of old.'
This was done for a design team application for Sketch-N-Scrap. I use their sketch which can be found here.

I thread tulle through the middle button. If you buy the white or ivory tulle it is easy to change the color. Simply, color it with markers or ink.

Golden

Last weekend over at Frosted Designs they had a fall recipe blog hop. There was twelve stops so they were twelve ingredients. The challenge was to at least six of the twelve. I ended up using ten ingredients out of the twelve.
1. Embossing ( I heat embossed the photo corner on the top of the page)
2. Buttons. (I love those wood ones from American Crafts)
3. Die cuts. I use some I got from a swap over at Club CK
4. Glitter (I didn't use it)
5. Spray mists. (I did splatters on the background paper and misted the leaf that was done in modeling paste)
6. Alphabet stickers.
7. Fall Leaves ( I used die cuts, photos and modeling paste)
8. Stamping. ( I stamped a text on the background, branch across the photo and the photo corner)
9. Flowers (used two at the bottom) - check out the link for a great RAK.
10. Bling (I used some rhinestones on the twine)
11. Fall (I think this fits the bill)
12. Pumpkin. (I didn't use this ingredient)

Applying for Chattering Robin's DT

Today, I got to play with some of my card making supplies. I ended up creating a cute Christmas card using some of my guarded stash for my The Robin's Nest application for their design team. I provided links to the items I used from The Robin's Nest

First I started with a paper from My Mind's Eye.
Then, I added some black cardstock and a paper doily.
Next come this lovely glitter swirl paper.
Next I made a stickpin from this sticker, a pearl bead and a straight pin.
 Fold over pin.
I then die-cut a snow flake with a die for the Squeeze. I used this text paper. I also cut the flap of the bottom of the Santa clippie before it was added.

I hope you enjoyed this fun and sparkly card as much as I did making it.

Honorable Mention

I am so happy today because I found some exciting news on the web today.
This morning, I work up early and dragged myself to the computer to check out Paper Crafts blog. I saw that they posted the honorable mentions for WCMD, so I looked at them and to my surprise the last card was mine. I would say that is one great way to fully wake myself up.
Here is the card.
This was the only birthday card I entered this year.
Head on over to Paper Crafts and vote for your favorite card. I am asking for votes please. I would really appreciate.  http://www.papercraftsconnection.com/blog/2012/11/world-card-making-day-honorable-mentions/ Voting ends 11:59 MST on Thursday, November 15.
Thanks.

Black at ABAC- Challenge 5

Welcome back to another fun and inspiring challenge brought to you by ABAC. This week incorporate the color black into your project, the whole thing does not have to be just black but should be the main color.
First, I have a confession to make. When I saw this challenge it really stumped me since Halloween is over and I didn't want to share anything for a holiday that past so I came up with this stunning project at the last minute.
This time I decorated a plain spiral notebook, that I got free at Meijer at a special event a month ago.

I use this how-to to make these beautiful flowers. I forgot to do the center so I added a pearl bead.
I also added a ribbon bookmark t the inside so I don't lose my place.
I love how this came out and it only ended up costing about a dollar since all the stuff came out of my stash.
Stop by ABAC and link your black projects.
p.s. I LOVE decorative notebooks and I have a nice collection in my bedroom.

Inks and Mists. Oh My

If you saw my Mad Dog M.D. post you know the story of the photos.
Here is a scrapbook page using them.
I used inks to color the printed velum. Markers to do the fake stitching lines, color the big brad orange and change the colors of the Thickers.
I turned the gift card Buster won into a hidden journaling spot,
I also colored the metal sign with markers.

I also hid Buster;s certificate behind the photos.
I sure got a lot of stuff onto a small page. I wish I never made Buster's album into 8" x 8" because I usually have a hard time putting a lot stuff onto one page. I always do a two page spread for Halloween parties but I always do one page for each party.
This was done for Erika's Issue Challenge over at Club CK and for Frosted Designs current challenge (paints, mists and inks ).
