Birthday Wishes

At the moment I am in love with the slimline card trend. I don't know why but this is my third card this week that I created in that style. The card I am sharing with you tonight is based on the Sketch~N~Scrap WCMD #2 sketch.

Here is my take on the card. Sorry for the bad photos lighting in my studio is bad and I didn't want to go downstairs and set up the photo board.
Supplies: cardstock (Paper Studio and Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Heidi Swapp and Simple Stories), brad (Terresa Collins), ribbon (?), stickers (Heidi Swapp), manual dies (Crafter's Companion), and electronic die cutter (Silhouette America)

The sentiment was die cut from wood paper. I love how it looks on the rose gold mirror paper by Cardstock Warehouse.

I love this bias ribbon that I had in my stash. It goes so well with the two collections that I used on this card.

The cut file that I used is free from Scrapbook & Cards Today.

Here is a side view. You can see this is a 3D card. Most of the cards I share here are available in my Etsy shop (MJ's Kraze)

Birthday Cards WCMD Recap 2

Today, I am going to share with you a few of the birthday theme cards that I created on World Card Making Day.  The 3 that I will be sharing with you feature the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

The first one is my type of card, a pop-up explosion box card. This one would be great for a kid's birthday.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Simple Stories and American Crafts), stickers (Pretty Little Studio), stamp (CAS-ual Fridays Stamps), ink (Tsukineko)

The nest card would be a great birthday card for her. It is filled with layers.  I based the card on a sketch from Sketch~N~Scrap sketch

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (American Crafts), journaling spot (My Mind's Eye). stickers (American Crafts), embossing folder (Momenta), stamp (CAS-ual Fridays Stamp), ink (Tsukineko), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps), twine (My Mind's Eye), embossing machine (Sizzix)

The last card is a super simple card that I was in a hurry to do since my favorite show, Heartland, was about to come on. This was also based on a Sketch~N~Scrap sketch.

Supplies: cardstock (American Crafts and The Paper Studio), washi tape (American Crafts), embossing folder (Momenta), stamp (CAS-ual Fridays Stamps), ink (Tsukineko)

Thanks for stopping by and reading this long, picture heavy post.

Kit Fail Part 2

Sorry for the delay on part 2 of this Mother's Day layout. This time I used the right side of the sketch from Scrap Our Stash and the elements for the challenge.

Here is the reveal, I am sorry again for the fuzzy photo. It has been a while since I photographed layouts so I am a little rusty.
Supplies: pattern paper (Pebble Inc., Echo Park Paper Co., and Crate Paper, die cuts (Echo Park Paper Co., and Studio G), stickers (Echo Park Paper, Co., Fancy Pants Designs, A Beautiful Mess, and Carta Bella), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps),flair (Pretty Little Studio), washi tape (The Paper Studio)

This is a summer sequin mix that I have had for a couple of years, I am still in love with it.

Here are the left and right side pages together.

Layout Smile - The Wild Hare Kit Club

I meant to post this layout that I created here earlier in the week but I kept getting sidetracked by yard work or cooking. Anyways, enough of the excuses.
Here is the layout that I created of my dad using my September's hand-curated kit by The Wild Hare Kit Club.

Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Pebbles and Pinkfresh Studio), wood veneer (Pebbles (sequins (SpiegleMpm Scraps), die cuts (Pinkfresh Studio), flair (?), and stickers (Pinkfresh Studio and American Crafts), and bakers twine

Here is a little closer look of the hand-stitched arrow. To see more details head on over to The Wild Hare Kit blog.

Independence Day Layout

Do you know that Scrapbook & Cards Today has a monthly sketch challenge?  This month was a layout sketch from Page Maps.

I created this fun 4th of July page. This year I wasn't in the mode of taking a lot of photos so I just had a couple of pics so this sketch was perfect.
I used an assortment of die cuts from Pretty Little Studio, Elle's Studio, Studio G, My Mind's Eye, and Jillibean Soup.

   Here is a closer look.

The washi tape is from Hobby Lobby's seasonal themed collection.

#Siblings

Hope everyone had a nice Independence Day. Here in Michigan, it was another super hot and humid day so staying inside with the AC was a must.

When I saw this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy, I knew what photo was going to be used.
http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com/2018/07/july-1-sketch-challenge.html

Here is my take. I used mostly my petite kit from The Wild Hare Kit club.  However, I did add some items from my stash like the wood veneer, aryclics, flair, and adventure theme die cuts.
   Here is a closer look.
My dad has very few photos of him growing up. I scanned the original and edited the photo since it was super dark. The bike die cut was original pink so I ended up coloring to fit the page better.
I love this little cluster,

Mini Album with Video

Back in May was Ali Edward's "Week In A Life", it is when you document your entire week. This is actually the first year that I have actually completed it. Yeah, Me!

I have uploaded a short walk through the album. There is no audio.
I have combined two boot shape chipboard mini albums and a canvas star album to create this album. I covered the chipboard albums with Maggie Holmes "Bloom" collection and inked all the edges to get rid of the naked chipboard edge. It is fully decorated with an assortment of die cuts by My Mind's Eye, American Crafts, Studio Calico and Pretty Little Studio.  that I have had in my stash for years.

Father's Day Layout

Saturday I got to sit down and play with my The Wild Hare Kit that came in the mail Friday. Here is what I got in the June petite kit. They did a great job at picking my elements that fit my style.

I a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy, May 15th reveal.

Here is a scrapbook page I created for Father's Day. I love how this looks. Now, I just have to print my Sunday's photos and add it to the page. I will place photos of my dad with me and my brother (two horizontal prints and one vertical print) in the framed area.

Happy Wish Card

I am back today to share a card with you that I created for the Scrapbook & Cards Today monthly sketch challenge.

Here is my take on it. That butterfly tag is super old, it is from American Crafts Gardenia collection.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Pretty Little Studio), die cuts (Pretty Little Studio), tag (American Crafts), stickers (Crate Paper), baker's twine (My Mind's Eye), border punch (EK Success), foil (Heidi Swapp) and Minc

From an angle, you can tell the abstract line paper is foiled. I like how this card came together and it is a little different for me with so many bold patterns and colors all together.

Santa All I Want....

I am getting closer to finishing scrappy 2017 photos. I only do one Christmas layout for my album since I do a December Daily mini album. This page was based on a Sketch Savy sketch that a scrapbook group used for their monthly scrapbook challenge.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Echo Park Paper Co.), die cuts (American Crafts, Pretty Little Studio) manual dies (Sizzix), stickers (Echo Park Paper Co. and Simple Stories), flair (Fancy Pants Designs), trim (American Crafts and Ladybug(?)), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps)

Here is a closer look at the corner cluster.

I meant to type the journaling but remembered after I already adhered the card to the layout.
