Hello... Stick It Down

Hello everyone. This month's card sketch at Stick It Down  is a clean design and can be used on any size of card, including the popular slimline.

I created a rustic style card, that floral paper is from a super old 6x6 paper pad from Crate Paper that has been in my stash for maybe 10+ years.

Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Simple Stories and Crate Paper, die (Spellbinders), stamp (Crafter's Companion), ink (Hero Arts), embellishment (Studio Calico), mist (Heidi Swapp), washi tape (Pebbles)

I might have gone a little overboard on the misting. I originally wanted to do a few splatters but I couldn't unscrew the top so I misted it. In the end, I love how it came out.

I got some fun stamps for Christmas and this is one of my favorite so I had to use it inside of the card.

Here is what you need to do if you want to play along. You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our sketch challenges. Just post a link to your creation in the Stick It Down sidebar. If you share on social media, be sure to tag #StickItDown.

One randomly selected winner will receive a prize! We'll also choose one winner from each sketch to be a guest designer!

Happy Sunshine and Fun Adventure

Hello, everyone. Today, I am going to share a layout that I created that is based on August 1st sketch from Sketches in Thyme
Here is my take on this sketch. The layout is of my grandmother that I never knew.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (ColorBok, K & Co.,Crate Paper,Simple Stories, Studio Calico, and Pretty Little Studio), stickers (Fancy Pants Designs, Heidi Swapp, My Mind's Eye and Crate Paper), mist (Tattered Angels), mask (American Crafts), manual die (Heidi Swapp), tools (Spellbinders and Fiskars), doily (DoodleBug Designs), and sequins (Studio Calico)

The papers that I used to create this page was all from my little pattern paper scrap bag. I love that I was able to use a lot of scraps and that they all worked together.
I love this journaling card, it seems to fit the layout perfectly.

#Siblings

Hope everyone had a nice Independence Day. Here in Michigan, it was another super hot and humid day so staying inside with the AC was a must.

When I saw this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy, I knew what photo was going to be used.
http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com/2018/07/july-1-sketch-challenge.html

Here is my take. I used mostly my petite kit from The Wild Hare Kit club.  However, I did add some items from my stash like the wood veneer, aryclics, flair, and adventure theme die cuts.
   Here is a closer look.
My dad has very few photos of him growing up. I scanned the original and edited the photo since it was super dark. The bike die cut was original pink so I ended up coloring to fit the page better.
I love this little cluster,

Mini Album with Video

Back in May was Ali Edward's "Week In A Life", it is when you document your entire week. This is actually the first year that I have actually completed it. Yeah, Me!

I have uploaded a short walk through the album. There is no audio.
I have combined two boot shape chipboard mini albums and a canvas star album to create this album. I covered the chipboard albums with Maggie Holmes "Bloom" collection and inked all the edges to get rid of the naked chipboard edge. It is fully decorated with an assortment of die cuts by My Mind's Eye, American Crafts, Studio Calico and Pretty Little Studio.  that I have had in my stash for years.

Father's Day Layout

Saturday I got to sit down and play with my The Wild Hare Kit that came in the mail Friday. Here is what I got in the June petite kit. They did a great job at picking my elements that fit my style.

I a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy, May 15th reveal.

Here is a scrapbook page I created for Father's Day. I love how this looks. Now, I just have to print my Sunday's photos and add it to the page. I will place photos of my dad with me and my brother (two horizontal prints and one vertical print) in the framed area.

National Scrapbook Day Recap

Hello everyone, I took a little crafty hiatus in April so I didn't lose the creativity on National Scrapbook Day. I spent all day Saturday scrapbooking and still took breaks for cooking.

I got to do a scraplift and this page of my dad as a little boy has to be one of my favorite layouts that I had did that day.

I was able to get my past birthday scrapped.
The "celebrate" on the large photo is one that I brush-lettered. I am currently learning it and so far I am loving it.

The last set of pages I created was about Easter.
I had to make a card on this day. Of course, I created this and missed the deadline for entering it in the challenge.

Sunday's Best

The layout I am about to share today originally was going to be about our worst rain in Feb. of 2018 but the papers I decided to use dictated a different path so I had to change photos. I used the Stuck? Sketches Mar. 1 challenge
Here is my take, as you can see a rain/flooding picture wouldn't have worked that well with all the colors I chose.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Fancy Pants Designs and Crate Paper), die cuts (Heidi Swapp, Pretty Little Studio, and Chic Tags), embroidery floss (We R Memory Keepers),  foam squares, foil (Heidi Swapp), tools (Minc), stickers (Fancy Pants Designs and A Beautiful Mess), doily (DoodleBug Designs), and mist (Tattered Angels)

The layers here just make me my heart happy. I hand cut the circles and flowers and add some foam adhesive to give it a little dimension. I add a stitched circle to ground the design.

The foil butterfly was done with the Minc. I love that machine but wished it didn't draw so much energy, it also causes my lights to flicker. Now I either run during the day so that is the only thing on or a night with a flashlight, aka tablet light.

Lemon & Custard

Last month was the yearly making of Packzi, baked filled doughnuts.  I try to document this baking treat every year. It is the only time of the year there are doughnuts in the house.
Supplies: pattern paper (Crate Paper and American Crafts), stickers (Fancy Pants Designs, Pink Paislee, A Beautiful Mess and Pink Fresh), ephemera (Canvas Corps.), doily (DoodleBug Designs), flair (Clique Kits), die cuts (Pretty Little Studio), frames (Crate Paper and Heidi Swapp), tools sewing machine and Minc) and sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps)

Here is a closer look. I am loving the mirror stickers.

I love the splatter, sequins scatter and the mix sewing machine stitching.

First Time Building ... Let's Get Sketchy

I am still doing a catch up on my scrapping of 2017 holidays or everyday moments. Today, I am sharing a "Dad Brag" page I did with a Let's Get Sketchy sketch.

This page is documenting the sofa building that my dad did last year. It was his first time doing this and I have to they turned out great.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper: Crate Paper and American Crafts) stickers (American Crafts, Carta Bella, and A Beautiful Mess), die cuts (Pretty Little Studio, American Crafts Fancy Pants Designs, and My Mind's Eye), brad (My Mind's Eye), flair (Pretty Little Studio), paperclip (Crate Paper), tools (Minc, frame punch board, and stapler)

Here is a closer look. I added foil to the Pretty Little Studio cut-apart flag and die cut word.

I am trying to use up my stash of old product and I am happy to say I am following through. On this page, I used a "2" brad that I have had for years.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be sharing more this week.
