Classic Color Combo

You are probably wondering why I am not posting my new project for ABAC. The answer is  switch with Julie to help her.
I saw this great challenge over at Scrap Fit this month and knew I had to do it. I love the color combinations of grey, navy and white.
So, I set out creating my first two page lyaout in months. I did this of my brother when he was a very smalle baby.
Don't forget to stop by ABAC for the new challenge for the next two weeks. (Hint: sparkly things)

Determination Walk

About a month ago I bought this blue wood paper from Hobby Lobby. This weekend I found the perfect photos for it.
This is of my brother walking.
For the number mask I placed some glossy Thickers on the page and misted. I then removed them, wipe the off and place them back in there sheet for later use.
I love the sewn triangles on this page and the big polaroid image banner.

So Spooky

This weekend I finally printed and scraped last year's Halloween photos. Let me just say I have less than ten different Halloween items and my stash. This is why it took so long.
With limited supplies you would think this page would be fast. It ended up taking longer than my usual heavy product pages.

#2 ABAC Project

This week is all about texture. That is right texture, as you know I absolutely love it.
This time it took it to a whole new level by adding modeling paste to the mix.
Here is my first ever working on a canvas plus doing mix media.
Don't mine the smudge on the wall I still need to paint  my bedroom. It still has my brother's old color.

This was done with the paste and glimmer mists.

I love the stamp leaves along the twine.

For the leaf border I was able to use some vellum that I have had in my stash for over 10 years.
I colored the canvas with Quick Quoted ink pads. Those things are very juicy. I cut an old photo sleeve from an album, adhere to the canvas so I could slide the photo in place.
All my items for texture are twine, burlap, modeling paste, fabric flowers and  buttons.

ABAC First Challenge

Welcome to the very first challenge from ABAC. To keep it easy for the first challenge the theme was anything goes. So this week I made two ATC's, which will end up being given to my parents on their upcoming anniversary.
I used pattern paper, rub-ons and stickers to create he design of the cards. After I had that done I applies a layer of glossy accents. While it was wet I added a thick piece of transparency to the top. Make sure you rub the front to remove air pockets and to smooth the glue.
