A Time to Visit - SBC #487
Sketch #487 from Scrapbook Challenges is one that is great for that one photo that is special and you want to showcase it.
Here is my take on it. I ended up scrapping a Christmas photo from the 71 of my mom and her aunts. Because it didn't look like a very Christmasy looking I decided to treat it as a everyday moment.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio) pattern paper (Crate Paper, Basic Grey and My Mind's Eye), stickers (We R Memory Keepers, My Mind's Eye, American Crafts, Studio Calico and Elle's Studio), rosette (Crate Paper), canvas embellishment (Studio Calico) sequins (SEI), mist (tattered Angels)tag (American Crafts), journaling card (Project Life), pen (Project Life).
Here are a few close-ups.

Hotel Antics - SBC 483
It is time for the Monday reveal of sketch #483 from Scrapbook Challenges. I love the fun scatter of photos this sketch offers.
Here is my take on it.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Cosmo Cricket and Canvas Corp. Brand Home Basics), stickers (Pink Paislee), chipboard (Basic Grey), electronic die cutter, cartridge and software (Cricut), journaling card (My Mind's Eye), punch (Me & My Big Ideas), mist (Tattered Angels)
Here is a closer look. I left the journaling spot blank since I need to get more information about these photos.
The chipboard shapes I used on this page are super old. they came from a card kit a friend sent to me for a prize.

Spilling the Beans
A few months ago, I got an email from Shimelle and her team contacted me to be a guest designer. I was super excited and couldn't wait to get started on the assignment, which just happened to be about a local landmark and using arrows. Easy task, since I knew what I wanted to scrap. I waited for a snowless day to go and take pics of the historical village that is a few minutes away from my house. I love the old buildings and all the history they hold.
Here are just a few close-ups shots of the layout. Be sure to head over to Shimelle's blog to see the full reveal.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basic), textured paper (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (American Crafts and Crate Paper), vellum (Seven Paper), stickers (American Crafts, Authentique, and Studio Calico), wood veneer (American Crafts), journaling card (Project Life), doily (The Paper Studio), twine (Bella Creationz), sequins (Studio Calico), mist (Tattered Angels), chipboard (Um Wow Studio), washi tape (We R Memory Keepers), stitching template (American Crafts), and pen (Project Life)
I did hidden journaling since there were a lot of facts about the windmill.

Having the Best of Times - SBC Liftapalooza
Today's lift at Scrapbook Challenges is on Karen.
Here is my take on it. As you can tell I followed the original page very closely. The misting in the original piece really inspired me. For the background pattern I used a assortment of watercolor crayons, mists and inks with two different masks.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Studio Calico and Fancy Pants Designs), stickers (American Crafts), masks (Hazel & Ruby and Studio Calico), die cuts (Basic Grey and Jillibean Soup), manual die (Studio Calico), die cutter (Spellbinders), watercolor crayon (Faber-Castell), ink (Stampabilities),mist (Tattered Angels), sequins (Studio Calico), border punch (Fiskars), washi tape (The Paper Studio)
Here are a few close-ups. I didn't have the letter "A" in the thickers so I took an "N" and trimmed a piece off and uses it as my cross section for the "A".
This quote has been hanging around in my stash for a while now and I thought it was perfect for this page since I didn't have anything to say.

Classic Move - SBC #476
Today is Scrapbook Challenges sketch #476.
Here is my take on it.
Supplies (cardstock (Die Cuts With a View and Bazzill Basics), pattern paper ( Crate Paper, Fancy Pants Designs and American crafts), flair (Basic Grey), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye), chipboard (Maya Road), watercolor pencils (Faber-Castell), wood veneer (American Crafts), squirrel icon (Studio Calico), stickers (American crafts and Studio Calico), mist (Tattered Angels) and pen (Project Life)
This little squirrel was another item I got from Studio Calico and was like what is the world was I going to do with this. I thought this was a cute and fun element to add to this page. I like that I added the camera to it.
Enamel dots makes great dots for bullet point journaling.

Currently 1.22.16 - SBC Trend
This month's trend at Scrapbook Challenges is around all things tribal inspired.
For my tribal choices I went straight to the Wild & Free collection from Glitz Designs. I am happy and sad to say I used up that paper pad on this page. I have been on a mission to use up my older stash before I can get something new. I am happy to say I already killed 9 bags of paper collections.
Supplies: cardstock (Die Cuts With a View), pattern paper (Basic Grey, Carta Bella, Echo Park Glitz Designs, American Crafts and Little Yellow Bicycle), stickers (Studio Calico), resin flower (Studio Calico), washi tape (The Paper Studio), paperclip (Pink Paislee), transparency (American Crafts), die cuts (American Crafts), manual die (Studio Calico), doily (Doodlebug Designs) , icon (Studio Calico), electronic die cutter, cartridge and software (Cricut), manual die machine (Spellbinders) and pen (Project Life)
I just love this transparency from the True Stories collection from Shimelle. It was perfect for this page.
The journaling and photo was taken from my Instagram account when I did the #thursday3.
I couldn't do a tribal page without feathers.

Celebrate The Memories - SBC #FBF
This week's flashback Friday #197 sketch from Scrapbook Challenges is a great one. I love the simplicity of it.
Here is my take on it. I used less photos but added a lot more layers. I love layers because they allow me to use up all those little scraps that I have been holding onto for years, I think all the scraps on this pages is about 8 years old.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics, Canvas Home Basics and The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Canvas Home Basics, Crate Paper, Glitz Designs and Karen Foster), stickers ( Studio Calico and Authentique), flair (Basic Grey), wood veneers (American Crafts), watercolor crayon (Faber-Castell), doily (Doodlebug Designs), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye), die cutters (Cricut and Spellbinders), manual die (Spellbinders), cartridge and design software (Cricut),
I can't believe I didn't have a manual die machine before. I use it almost on every project. Now, I need to get more dies.
Since the beauty of wood veneers are easy to alter I colored them with gelatos to match the color theme of the balloons at the party.

Embrace Today - SBC Trend
I love the brush script trend. I love seeing everyone's take on it. Over at Scrapbook Challenges this is our current trend challenge.
Here is my take on it. I used a brush script pattern paper and added my own amateur brush script attempt in the title work. The photos I used were not the best since I took them the day after surgery. I am sure me bandage up like that was no unusual sight for the small town of Brecksville, Ohio. For a small town they have a great eye clinic. All I can say was Clear Choice Laser is a great place and sure makes their clients comfortable.
Supplies (cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Studio Calico and American Crafts), journaling card (Webster's Pages), twine (Timeless Twine), stickers (American Crafts), die cuts (Basic Grey), wood veneer (American Crafts), stitching template (American Crafts), mist (Studio Calico), paint (Americana), doily (Doodlebug Design), vellum (American Crafts or Studio Calico), button (American Crafts).
Here is my attempt at brush lettering. I just used some paint and a wet paintbrush to write "today".
This still has to be my favorite color of twine, key lime. The arrow points to the hidden journaling.
Here is a closeup of the flower and card that my dad and I got from the eye doctor. The flower was for me and the card was for my dad, it had a gift card for Starbucks in it.
