Stamping with Die Cuts

It is Friday, May 22, 2020, for those who need the reminder. Today, I will be sharing with you how to create stamps with your dies.
All you need is some thin craft foam to create these foam stamps. I used these fun party icons by Frantic Stamper.
With the foam die cuts, I attached them to a stamping block with a repositionable adhesive. When stamping a word make sure the word is backwards on the stamping block. Treat these like normal stamps.
This "Make a Wish" die is amazing since creates is an edger die so that means all those letters stay attached to the bottom part of the cardstock.

Here is the end result. A custom stamp pattern paper card using dies.

Let's Shake with SID

Can you believe it we are over halfway through the month of May? Well since it is mid-month that means it is time for a Stick It Down card sketch reveal.

I opted to make this the large circle into a shaker element. That cute dog image is a digital stamp image that came from this month's sponsor, Angie's Digital Stamps
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio and Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (My Mind's Eye and Studio Calico), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps), manual die (Spellbinders), markers (Crafter's Companion), stamps (?), washi tape (Scotch Expressions), die cut machine (Spellbinders), page protector.

To create this shaker I stack and glued together 7 die cut frames. I glued that to the backer solid frame. I added the colored digital stamps and sequins.  I then glued a solid die cut plastic and added one more wood frame to that.

Don't forget to check out  Angie's Digital Stamps is our sponsor for May!
You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our sketch challenges. Just post a link to your creation in our sidebar. If you share on social media, be sure to tag #StickItDown.

One randomly selected winner will receive a prize from Angie's Stamps! We'll also choose one winner from each sketch to be a guest designer!

Dies R Us Planner Clips

Hello everyone, Mandi here, from MJ's Kraze, Today, I will be sharing with you on how to use your dies in creating fun felt bookmarks.

The first step is to get some stiff felt. I found out this works better for intricate dies than the felt sheets. I am working with Jeanine's Art Classic Butterflies. I cut two of the outer outline die and one in the detail die.

With your favorite liquid fabric glue apply adhesive to one side of the die cut. Place a paperclip in on top of that. Apply to the out die cut and sandwich the pieces together.

Now onto gluing the detail piece. Here is a tip, spread the glue to the back with a toothpick. This is where you want to make sure you use a non-toxic glue since this will get on your fingers. Now, place it on top of paperclip sandwich.

That is all it takes to create these fun bookmarks that work great in planners.
