Mirror Christmas

   Merry Christmas everyone. This month's card sketch was a simple design which features a diagonal design element.

 

   Here is my take on my card sketch. 

I created an easel style card that features a stamped and embossed stopper inside. 

   As you can tell this embossed mirror cardstock was highly reflective. 

   I kept the line design suped simple with different metallic washi tape strips.

Let's Shake It Card

    This month's card sketch at Stick It Down was designed to feature a center focal point. 

  

   I created this masculine shaker card with the color palette of black/silver/wood.

Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), die (Scrapbook.com), tools (Spellbinders), blending brush (Pickett Fence), stencil (TCW), color medium (Scrapbook.com, Staz-onz, American Crafts) stamps (EK Sucess), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps) 

   I don't know if you have tried this but I used a blending brush to apply embossing ink with the stencil. I removed the stencil, applied embossing powder and heat set it. I love the texture of the powder to the brick design.  

   

I finished this card off with a star shaker element and the background was done with wood paper. I then added a few drops of Pops of Color along the card.

A Spooky Card - SID

 Today I will share with you my take on this month's card sketch from the Stick It Down blog.  I don't typically do Halloween cards but for some reason this sketch made me think of Halloween. 

   As you can tell, I followed the sketch 

Supplies: pattern paper (Authentique) cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), sequins (SpiegleMom Scraps washi tape (The Paper Studio), sticker (Authentique), and die cuts (7 Gypsies)

   The moon image and "October 31st" was a journaling card that I cut the bottom off (October 31st), matted it, and moved it to the top of the moon. 

   I also, couldn't resist adding a little sparkle to the card so I went with purple sequins and stars.

Birthday Wishes

    At the moment I am in love with the slimline card trend. I don't know why but this is my third card this week that I created in that style. The card I am sharing with you tonight is based on the Sketch~N~Scrap WCMD #2 sketch. 

   Here is my take on the card. Sorry for the bad photos lighting in my studio is bad and I didn't want to go downstairs and set up the photo board. 

Supplies: cardstock (Paper Studio and Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Heidi Swapp and Simple Stories), brad (Terresa Collins), ribbon (?), stickers (Heidi Swapp), manual dies (Crafter's Companion), and electronic die cutter (Silhouette America) 

The sentiment was die cut from wood paper. I love how it looks on the rose gold mirror paper by Cardstock Warehouse. 

   I love this bias ribbon that I had in my stash. It goes so well with the two collections that I used on this card. 

 

   The cut file that I used is free from Scrapbook & Cards Today. 

Birthday Party Card

   This past Saturday was World Card Making Day, I spent part of the day creating cards. This card I am about to share with you is called a U-fold card. I have never created one before. It was fun to do. You can find the instructions on a blog called Beccy's Place.
