Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Pink Paislee, Carta Bella), die cuts (Pinkfresh Studio), stickers (American Crafts), sequins (SpiegleMom Scraps), wood veneer (Pebbles), twine (?)

Layout Smile - The Wild Hare Kit Club

I meant to post this layout that I created here earlier in the week but I kept getting sidetracked by yard work or cooking. Anyways, enough of the excuses.
Here is the layout that I created of my dad using my September's hand-curated kit by The Wild Hare Kit Club.

Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Pebbles and Pinkfresh Studio), wood veneer (Pebbles (sequins (SpiegleMpm Scraps), die cuts (Pinkfresh Studio), flair (?), and stickers (Pinkfresh Studio and American Crafts), and bakers twine

Here is a little closer look of the hand-stitched arrow. To see more details head on over to The Wild Hare Kit blog.

My First TN - The Wild Hare Kit Club

I can't believe I am going to say this but I did my first ever traveler's notebook spread and I LOVE it. When this trend first hit the scrapbooking industry I said: "That is NOT for me".  Boy, was I wrong? I have been wanting to do a cooking/baking theme scrapbook but doing a big album seemed unrealistic since it would take a lot of real-estate.

So here is my first TN spread in my cooking theme book. All items used on this page was included in my September's kit from The Wild Hare Kit Club. Plus, I even used this month's sketch as my inspiration. You can check out the sketch and a more detail post here
Supplies: pattern paper (Jillibean Soup, Pinkfresh Studio, and Pebbles), die cuts (Pinkfresh Studio), and stickers (American Crafts and Pinkfresh Studio)

As you can see I even used a puffy sticker on the spread. I love that the Pinkfresh studio puffy stickers are not bulky.

I ended up creating a fun shaker bag that features the Summer Paradise sequins and the cloud felties.

Supplies: transparency (American Crafts), pattern paper (My Mind's Eye and American Crafts), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps), felties (SpiegelMom Scraps), doily (doodlebug Designs), adhesive (hot glue), die (Spell Binders and Heidi Swapp), manual die cutter (Spellbinders) and small gift bag.

Here is a tip on how to attach the transparency to the paper bag without losing the sequins. With a hot glue gun glue the transparency to the bag along three of the sides, fill the opening with the sequins and glue shut.

I love those felt clouds with the hot air balloon print.

Spilling the Beans

A few months ago, I got an email from Shimelle and her team contacted me to be a guest designer. I was super excited and couldn't wait to get started on the assignment, which just happened to be about a local landmark and using arrows. Easy task, since I knew what I wanted to scrap. I waited for a snowless day to go and take pics of the historical village that is a few minutes away from my house. I love the old buildings and all the history  they hold.

Here are just a few close-ups shots of the layout. Be sure to head over to Shimelle's blog to see the full reveal.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basic), textured paper (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (American Crafts and Crate Paper), vellum (Seven Paper), stickers (American Crafts, Authentique, and Studio Calico), wood veneer (American Crafts), journaling card (Project Life), doily (The Paper Studio), twine (Bella Creationz), sequins (Studio Calico), mist (Tattered Angels), chipboard (Um Wow Studio), washi tape (We R Memory Keepers), stitching template (American Crafts), and pen (Project Life)

I did hidden journaling since there were a lot of facts about the windmill.

Time to Celebrate Party Hat

Last month, I recieved a email from Susan Brown, the lady in charge of the Anything But A Card challenge site. She contacted all the previous remembers in order to celebrate the Anything But A Card challenge blog's last challenge before closing. This challenge is marking the 50th challenge they have hosted since it started back in September of 2012. The site was founded by Carla Heibert, she gave my first taste of being part of a design team.

For such a milestone and the sad ending of a great site that stretched your creative muscles, I decided to create a party hat for the "Celebration".

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio),chipboard (Paper pad back), tissue paper (Hazel & Ruby), paint (Tattered Angels), ink (Tim Holtz), marker (Bic), masks (Hazel & Ruby), gelatos (Faber-Castell), sequins (Hazel & Ruby), glitter glue (Stickles), twine (The Robin's Nest), trim (American Crafts), and electronic die cutter, software and cartridge (Provo Craft).

I first created the hat shape with the chipboard backing from a paper pad that I used up. Then I started having fun with tissue and the color mediums. Surprisingly, I didn't get my hands too messy.  For the glitter touches I saved myself a bei headache by opting for the Stickles instead of the loose glitter.

The little pom-pom was created with jute twine. I am still in love with pom-poms after 3 years so I added a nice amount to this little hat by trimming it out with pompom trim.

Thanks for stopping by and helping the me and he rest of the ABAC family celebrate out time sharing and inspiring others with our creations.

Guest of TRN

Today, I am back on The Robin's Nest blog as this month's guest designer.  I created a trio of mini notebooks that are perfect for a Back to School party.

On this on I covered the front with the special delivery paper, classy ribbon, outlined the special delivery sticker with mini dew drops and added a cute little bow.
I used the reverse side of the Daisy Stripe Teal for the front of this book. I then added the gold glitter paisley paper, stripe french vanilla and winter glitter snowflakes for the banners and topped it off with the black tear dew drops.
On this one I kept it simple. i covered the front with daisy teal stripe. I added the glittered hearts but used 3-d foam squares under the top heart to make more of a statement.
