Jan. Card Reveal

This month's full card sketch at Stick It Down reveal can be found here
I created this card using the Storyline paper collection by Heidi Swapp. For the sentiment tag, I used a journaling tag from Pebbles Inc.

Here is a closer look at it, I love the splatters.

You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our sketch challenges. Just post a link to your creation in Stick It Down's sidebar. If you share on social media, be sure to tag #StickItDown.

One randomly selected winner will receive a prize! We'll also choose one winner from each sketch to be a guest designer!

Make A Wish - DRU

Hello, and welcome. Today is my last post as part of the Dies R Us team. I  am stepping done since the holiday season is busy for my shop.  I will be sharing with you today a shaker card

I am sure you are like me and you have rolls of washi tape to last a lifetime. Here is a little tip match the print up and create a pattern paper with it. Adhere this to a card base. My card is 7" x 4" so I did the pattern paper a 1/4" smaller.
I love these edger dies. All I did was run it through my die cut machine and took a craft knife ad removed the inside to create a frame. Now on the back of the frame, you would want to use a strong double-sided adhesive to attach a piece of plastic, I used an old page protector. After, the plastic is in place cover the inner frame edge with a foam adhesive. Set aside while we create the confetti.
Now with the mini dies I did multiple cuts of each. This will be part of the confetti filler in the shaker.
In the center fill the card up with the confetti die cuts and sequins. Since this shaker fills the entire card front I added a lot of filler.
Now, remove the foam adhesive backing from the frame and carefully line it up to the card. Press the frame edges down firmly to ensure no confetti of escaping.  Give it a shake and you are now done.

WCMD Recap 3 - Hello Card

I didn't forget my WCMD recap, I just have been getting my new laptop set up. Today's card features the only hello theme card that I created on the card making holiday.

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (American Crafts) die cuts (Pinkfresh Studio, Studio Calico and Pebbles Inc.), manual die (Crafter's Companion) die cutter (Spellbinders)

Here is a side view. You can see this is a 3D card. Most of the cards I share here are available in my Etsy shop (MJ's Kraze)

Kit Fail Part 1

I know that the post title seems a little odd since I am sharing a layout but the whole thing is all about the subscription kit from Echo Park. I was going to use nothing but the items from the kit on Mother's Day layout but I then remember that I already bought some paper a couple of months ago with the holiday in mind.
Anyways, today I will be sharing half of the double page layout that I created for the Scrap Our Stash June challenge
As you can see I created with the left side of the sketch, added numbers and used a subtle polka dot pattern paper and doily.
Supplies: pattern paper (American Crafts, Pebble Inc., Echo Park Paper Co., and Crate Paper, die cuts (Echo Park Paper Co., and Studio G), stickers (American Crafts, Echo Park Paper, Co., Fancy Pants Designs, Crate Paper and Carta Bella), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps), die (Heidi Swapp), embossing folder (Project Life), washi tape (The Paper Studio)

I couldn't resist adding a little sprinkle of sequins.

Full House Challenge - SBC

This week's challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges is a "Full House" theme. I am in love with this challenge's items it focused on.
   Here are the items

I used all the items and it made me realize I need to dust of my stamps off more for my layouts.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Crate Paper), stickers (American Crafts and October Afternoon), flair (Studio G), twine (Timeless Twine), tag (Pebbles Inc.), stamp (Studio Calico), ink (Close To My Heart), mask (Studio Calico), mists (Tattered Angels) and electronic die cut machine, cartridge and design software (Provo Craft)

Here are some closeups.  The title for this page came from my friend Christy who provided me a link to Peter Pan quotes.  I thought the quote "All children except one, grow up" was perfect with this photo of my mom when she was in a Peter Pan production.

I used stamp ink close to the same as the mist to make a subtle design.

The tag is a pocket tag that holds the journaling for this page.  I used the 3x4 journaling card as filler behind the photo.
