App Pick + Me Update
Hello, everyone. today there will be no sketch reveal for Scrapbook Challenges due to it being the end of the month and a design team call will issued in the future. However, there is still time to play along with all 20 sketch reveals from the month.
I thought I would be great to share an app for the desktop that I am sure a lot will love. It is called the InstaPic . It allows you to upload to Instagram from your desktop. I have been using it for most of August and have fell in love with it. I haven't found any problems like the one I was using before (Gramblr).
I have been super busy creating and listing Christmas items on my Etsy shop. I have ornaments, dog toys and cards which meant a lot of photos to take and edit. Plus, over 25 different listings. Since August was a crazy month between design team work and shop but I loved it.
Here is my latest ornament.
I opted to not do any eye doctor appointments since I felt my vision has been good, which I am almost 5 months post-op ;) but should get tested to make sure everything is still good. I am sure new glasses will be prescribed since my latest ones are too strong but I can go without them fine but with a little eyestrain by late night. I am just not sure if I want to deal with the whole contact lens thing again since I know the right eye is still changing. I know my old lenses don't work anymore, they are way too strong and I am sure the fit is off again due to the surgeries.

Little Mister - SBC SS 15
While, I got most of yesterday's things done but there are a couple of things left, like paint those terracotta pots. However, that might be put off still since I don't really want to paint them in the garage if it is rainy.
Today,s Scrapbook Challenge Sizzlin Summer sketch #15 reveal.
I kept is so simple on this baby page of my uncle.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics and American Crafts), pattern paper (DCWV), sequins (SpiegleMom Scraps), cork shapes (SpiegleMom Scraps), embroidery floss (DCM), stitching template (American Crafts), stickers (American Crafts)
I love the hand stitching on this page. It is fitting for a baby layout,

Sizzling Summer sketch #14 from Scrapbook Challenges.
Here is my take on today's sketch. I ended up scrapping some school pics of my mom. I did black and white copies to make them look cohesive.

A Holiday Card
Even though it is still August, I have gotten bitten by the Christmas bug. I think it might have to do with my work on Etsy shop. I figure I better start posting my Christmas stuff before I get caught up in it personally.
When I saw sketch #186 from CAS(E) I knew I had to do it since I fell in love with the angle.
Here is what I created.
Supplies: cardstock (Canvas Home Basics), pattern paper (The Paper Studio), stamp (Studio G), ink (Tsukineko), stamping tool (MISTI), sequins (SpiegleMom Scraps, use coupon code mandi15 for a 15% discount)
Here is a closer look.
I was going to add stitching to this but opted for these sequins instead since I wanted to keep it simple.
p.s. I haven't started to listen to Christmas music, yet.
Making The Grade - SBC SS 13
This is the last week for the month long event Sizzlin Summer at Scrapbook Challenges. Today's #13 sketch is one that I created.
Here is my take on it. I ended up scrapping an class photo of my dad.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper studio), pattern paper (American Crafts and Fancy Pants), stickers (Simple Stories, American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Crate Paper,Photo Play and Fancy Pants), washi tape (Studio Calico), string (American Crafts), transparency (Studio Calico), wood veneer (Freckled Fawn)journaling card (American Crafts) and mist (Heidi Swapp)
I love all the layers I did on this. It allowed me to use some of the odd and ends of stickers.
The string I used on the paper tags came from some metal rimmed tags from American Crafts, which I used the tags on a different layout but I didn't need the strings.

Freeze Frame - SBC #495
Hope everyone is while rested for the start of another work week. My weekend turned into work days but I didn't mind since I did spurge on some new fall boots. I say that was a good reward for myself after a busy week.
Today's Scrapbook Challenges sketch #495 reveal is great if you are in love with grids. I for one don't care for them since I am a little OCD and I have to have everything lined up perfectlf. This grid was perfect for this brain since it was a messy grid.
Here is my take on it. This photos here are pics of my mom and her friends from back in the day.
Supplies: cardstock (American Crafts) pattern paper (American Crafts and Basic Grey), stickers (American Crafts, Crate Paper and Basic Grey), sequins (SpiegleMom Scraps), die cuts (SpiegleMom Scraps), mist (Tattered Angles), sewing machine (Singer) and thread.
Here is a closer look. No "E's" for frame so I used a "M" instead.
I just love the sequins and cork shapes SpiegleMom Scraps has to offer. Use coupon code mandi15 for 15% off your purchase.
