   This page is documenting my eye health journey for this month. I am sure there will be more eye layouts in the future. The photos were taken of before  and after I got contacts.

  I am a huge fan of hidden journaling. I love keep my personal feelings hidden on pages.

   I used vellum stickers for "vision"  because it blends in and it makes it hard to see. It seemed perfect since I am scrapping about eyes.

   Tomorrow, I will share some of the cards I made. However, I have an eye doctor appointment in the morning so it might be late posting. 

Two pages for Two Challenges

   Since the New Year, I have been on a scrapping kick for challenges. I was in a middle of a design team vacation due to holidays and I thought the perfect way to spend it was to play with a lot of different sketch challenge sites.  

   In this post I will just share two of the many layouts I have done.

p.s. I am wearing the contacts now with little to no  irritated eyelids now. I am going to the eye doctor this week still for another eye check-up. I am have a funny feeling a lot of those are still in my future due to keratoconus is a progressive disease.
   Now, my family have to get use to seeing me with no glasses. Every time I am not they think I don't feel well.

Winter Hiatus

   Since the beginning of the New Year I have been on a blogging vacation. Even though, I haven't shared anything and it don't mean I have not been productive. I have created 3 cards, 1 altered item and 10+ layouts. I will be sharing everything within the next week.
   The reason why I took a break was due to eye health reasons. I have had my eyes checked at the start of the year and it was confirmed I did have keratoconus (coned cornea). I am currently trying out rigid contact lenses to correct the double vision (which helps 99%) but I hate them. My eyelids are so tender from wearing them that I am dreading the time of the day I need to put them in. Next week, I have a follow up appointment to see how they are working for me but at this point I am really want to ditch them and live with the double. I am also looking for alternatives and am considering a new treatment and getting these rings in my eye so I don't have to wear contacts. 

Year in Review

   This past year has been filled with lots of work. Most of them I shared here but a few projects never made it here. In other words, some of the 12 favorites of 2014 will be something new to see to some of my readers. 

January:  This page was one I did for Simple Sketches . 

February: This is one project I never shared here. It is a mini notebook that I made for Fancy Pants design team call. I used my favorite collection from the for it, Trendsetter. 

March: This is a card I got published in Life. Paper. Scrapbook magazine. 

April: This page was a Child's Play Challenges design team reveal. Even though it has been over 8 months I created this I am still loving it. 

May: This page was from my big scrapbooking weekend on National Scrapbook Day. 

June: This page was a Scrapbook Challenges sketch reveal which I submitted for Get Inspired publication. This was my first layout in a magazine. 

July: I was super busy working so my crafting time was limited. I think I ended up creating the hoop art the day before Independence day. 

August: I bet you can tell why this page is my favorite for this month. That is right it is the subject. I love my goofy dog. 

September: This page was for Scrapbook Challenges reveal. 

October: This month favorite was a sewing project. Buster's alien halloween costume. He came in second at the costume contest. 

November: This page was a Scrapbook Challenges sketch reveal. I love that I used papers up that I have been hoarding keeping for 5-ish years. 

December: This was a no brainer at picking this month's A gift bag and date ornament I made for Crate Paper's holiday challenge. I created this with no holiday theme items, The reason was I don't have any by Crate Paper. Plus, for an add challenge I only had papers from them to work with.

Scrapping Christmas

   Even though, I document December in the dec. daily album I still scrap it for my yearly albums. Because I still had Christmas Eve photos on my flash stick I printed out extras so I could scrap them the next time I played in my studio.

I used a sketch from Stuck?! which I believe is the first time I am playing but I am a long time follower. That is what happens when I am caught up on design team work. I get to play on sites I follow. I am also linking this up to the current issue at Paper Issues.

That little ornament I hand cut from a Crate Paper non-Christmas line. 

   For Christmas I got this cool new mask from Prima. It is a doily and my mom knows I am huge doily fan. Thanks, Mom.

This is probably a record for me on scrapping Christmas photos. I think the reason was that I only took a handful and took a movie for 30+ minutes.

Dec. Daily

This year, I decided to do another album to document the days leading up to Christmas. Even though I never completed last year I still wanted to do it. This year was very low so it was easy to keep up-to-date. I didn't have any design team projects, home decor projects, or really any handmade gifts to make (just a sweater I knitted for Buster, two dog toys, a scarf and cocoa mixes). Plus, feeling not like Christmas here made for the less work I would have like doing. 

   Anyway, I thought it would be nice to share a little peek at my Dec. Daily album. I took a Sn@p album from Simple Stories and decorated it. 

I ended up using products from a lot of different holiday collections that I only had scraps of. Now,I am almost out of all holiday embellishments and I did use up a lot of paper scraps.

 I also add a CD case to my Dec. Daily albums so it can hold a disc that I burn with all of the dec. photos and videos.

 The spread is of the first 2 days of Dec. Our tree top broke on day one.

 This is days three and four. I started Buster's sweater on day three and wrapped gifts on day four

 Day nine I made my favorite Christmas cookie, Gingerbread. Those went by so fast this year tha I had to make two batches.

 The 21st I rewrapped a gift (long story on that), and decorated the table.

I am happy to say this year album's will be done shortly. I just have to finish the 24th and 25 pages. I already have the photos edited.

Merry Christmas

Just taking a break before I have to start cooking. I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
We did get a little dusting of snow Christmas eve night but it was gone by the morning. So this year it is a green Christmas which seems so wrong for Michigan.

Merry & Bright Holiday Card

  Just taking a little break from my holiday preparations to share with you a little Christmas card I whipped up last week. I used this sketch from Scrapbook Circle and I am entering it into the S.W.A.T Christmas card challenge. I am also entering this in Paper Issues current challenge.

I love using my card scraps to create a matching envelope seal. It just gives a slight hint of what to expect.
   Now, I better get back to my holiday To-Do list. I want to make mint truffles tonight. I already made the fluff this afternoon. Then, I have a scarf for my mom to finish, a ball for Buster to sew close, to my Dec. Daily page for today, ornaments to make, etc. I am still debating if I will have time to make a skirt before Christmas Eve. I almost forgot, I have to bathe a little pooch.
One thing I hope I get for Christmas is Snow. I don't feel like Christmas without it. It is raining at the moment and it felt so wrong looking at Christmas light without the cold white stuff.

The Pretty Lights- Child's Play Challenges

This is the last Child's Play layout I will be posting. Child's Play Challenges has decided to shut it's doors. For this last challenge the theme has to do with a great classic kid's toy I wished for. 

   Lite Brite made me think of Christmas lights so I scraped some poor quality photos from a couple of years ago.

   On this page I ended up doing two journaling spots on here. The first one is hidden due to the fact it was a lot to the story. Plus, writing this post I just realized it. LOL. I never said I was fully on the ball.

   The last journaling spot just was written on washi tape. It just name were each photo was taken.

   I am sad to say farewell to this inspiring team but I am glad I was able to be called a game player for a year. 

Studio Canvas

   I rarely show my canvases on my blog. The reason I think is that it is a non-design team project and I feel that I always have a mile long to-do list  and not enough time to do just for fun posts. That will soon change. I want to start blogging more and not just assignments. 

   This summer I came across this quote from Scrapbook.com. 

   When I saw it I knew I need to d o a canvas for my studio because over 50% of the time my studio is a MESS. That is the only down fall of having a room just to create in. You can close the door when it is a mess. 

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Fancy Pants Design and Ruby & Hazel), stickers (The Robin's Nest, Pebbles Inc. and Making Memories), transparency (American Crafts), modeling paste (Liquitex), mask (Studio Calico), gelatos (Faber-Castell), washi tape (Ruby & Hazel), electronic die cutter and cartridges (Provo Craft), mist (Tattered Angels), sequins (Tree House Studio), gems (Bo Bunny), charm (?), pom-pom trim, sewing machine, black thread, canvas, and mini clothespins.  

   I first started by covering the canvas by covering it with paper. I then colored it with gelatos and mists. While, it was drying I stitched the transparency to cardstock and filled it with sequins.  The next step was doing the finishing touches. Modeling paste, trim, clothespins, gems, and a charm. The final step took a little time. I die cut letters and colored stickers black and adhered them to the transparency. The finish results were something I love and it now hanging proudly on my studio wall.
