Slimline Card Sketch

This month over at Stick It Down blog features a trendy slimline card sketch that can be used for any size card.

Here is my take on the card. It is fun to make and I was able to play with my distress ink and stencils on it.
Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Bo Bunny), manual die (Crafter's Companion), stickers (Studio Calico), ink (Ranger), stencil (Prima), and washi tape (Scotch)

To make the sentiment pop I did a layer die-cut in black glitter cardstock and a gunmetal mirror paper.

Play along at Stick It Down You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our sketch challenges. Just post a link to your creation in the sidebar. If you share on social media, be sure to tag #StickItDown.
We'll choose one winner from each sketch to be a guest designer!

Coming to A Roof Top... - SBC #492

If you are looking for the Sparklers Unite Blog Hop check out my previous post.

Today's Scrapbook Challenges #492 sketch reveal is here.

Here is my take on it. I didn't do any visible journaling but I did create a hidden area so my mom can write a Christmas story of when she was little.
Supplies: cardstock (American Crafts), pattern paper (7 Gypsies, Graphic 45 and My Mind's Eye), doily (Sunny Side Up Bakery), washi tape (October Afternoon), wood veneer (Target), foil (Heidi Swapp), foil glue (Deco Art), mist (Ranger), paint (Tattered Angels) and corner punch (Fiskars).

This was a Christmas package topper and I just altered it with some foil sheets and the foil glue pen.

The Simpler Times - SBC 478

This sketch reveal for Scrapbook Challenges was another one I created. I have to say I so much prefer drawing sketches by hand that on the computer. I am happy that Brynn- Marie is able to clean the sketches up on the computer because I am sure you would have a very hard time figuring out my handmade sketch.

Here is my take on it.

Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Photo Play, Heidi Swapp, Graphic 45 and Basic Grey) stickers (American Crafts and Authentique), wood veneer (Target), embossing folders (Echo Park), inks (Tim Holtz and Close to My Heart), enamel dot (My Mind's Eye), doily (Studio Calico), border punch (EK Success), embossing machine (Sizzix), electronic die cutter, cartridge and software (Cricut), pen (Project Life) and glossy accents (Ranger)

I am not sure if it is just a lazy thing or I just like the added interest but I always dot my electronic die cut "I"s with an enamel dot. I would like to believe it is the interest but I am pretty sure it is laziness since I don't want to bother gluing down that teeny tiny dot.

I am loving these Christmas/ winter theme embossing folders my Mom picked out for me. I am shocked she actually picked them out since I never showed her these. Using the faux letterpress technique sure makes the impression stand out.

Crushing on Andrea - SBC

Earlier this week we had a Sketch Crew Crush on Andrea. I love her work and while I was going through her blog I noticed she love white backgrounds and machine stitching.
Here is my take on it.
Supplies: cardstock (Die Cuts With a View), pattern paper (Studio Calico), journaling card (Project Life),  mists (Ranger and Tattered Angels), stickers (Studio Calico and American Crafts), twine (Bella Creationz), stitching template (American Crafts), sewing machine and thread.
The "He Said" card is where the journaling going to be on. I am going to have my dad write it, which will be about the types of cars he had at that time.
