Huge Birthday Wishes

This card sketch from Stick It Down features a banner element. When I came up with this sketch I immediately thought of a birthday card that I happened to need for my brother's birthday this month.

This cute card might be a little young for my big brother but it is so perfect for him since he loves animals, like I do.
Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Studio Calico), stamps (Avery Elle and Hero Arts), ink (Hero Arts, Ranger, and Tsukineko), die cuts (Pretty Little Studio), washi tape (Queen & Co.), alcohol markers (Spectrum Noir), and tools (MISTI and Picket Fence)

I changed up the card opening on this one so it was almost like a tri-fold card.

I am still working on my coloring skills, as you can see I need more work and also need to refill one of my markers since I didn't have a lighter gray to use in the blending.

You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of the sketches.  Just add your creation in the link in the Stick It Down sidebar.  If you share on social media, please use the hashtag #StickItDown.  We’ll choose one winner from the entries and they will be invited to guest design for us in July.

I Love You Card

Welcome to another slimline card sketch that I created for this month's Stick It Down card sketch.

I created this card back for Valentine's but I think this could be used as a year-long "Love" theme card.
Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Fancy Pants Designs), stamp (Simon Says Stamps), stickers (American Crafts, Autheniqe, Basic Grey), stencil (The Crafter's Workshop), inks (Tim Holtz and Hero Arts), markers (Spectrum Noir)
As you can see I dusted off my markers to color in the cute dog stamps. I am an absolute beginner at using these so I am hoping this year I grow in my technique.

You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of the sketches.  Just add your creation in the link in the Stick It Down sidebar.  If you share on social media, please use the hashtag #StickItDown.  We’ll choose one winner from the entries and they will be invited to guest design for us in June.

Slimline Card Sketch

This month over at Stick It Down blog features a trendy slimline card sketch that can be used for any size card.

Here is my take on the card. It is fun to make and I was able to play with my distress ink and stencils on it.
Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), pattern paper (Bo Bunny), manual die (Crafter's Companion), stickers (Studio Calico), ink (Ranger), stencil (Prima), and washi tape (Scotch)

To make the sentiment pop I did a layer die-cut in black glitter cardstock and a gunmetal mirror paper.
