Projects of the Week

This week the crafting bug hit me hard. Besides making the purse I have made 5 single page layout, 1 double and 5 cards. Today, I am going to share with you the cards. The four birthday cards I am entering them into the Moxie Fab World Birthday Card Challenge.
The thing that contribute to this is my thumb is finally better. The start of this year I injured it when I got it caught in a big, heavy cast iron pan I was washing. I am no longer wearing the brace to keep it from popping out of its joint.
The first two cards are created for the 10-minute craft dash.
This first card took me 6 min. and 35 sec. The funny thing was I had my timer set for 5 minutes instead of 10. I used S~N~S #5 card sketch for this.
Supplies: cardstock (Die Cuts With a View), pattern paper (October Afternoon), punch (EK Success), brads (?), twine (Timeless Twine), ink (Stampabilities), stamp (Inkadinado)
This card took the full 10 minutes. I am in love with this one. I ended up using this card for another challenge on a private board I am on.

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio and Close to My Heart), pattern paper (Echo Park and  Crate Paper, gelato (Faber-Castell), twine (Timeless Twine), ink (Stampabilities), stamp (Inkadinado), electronic die cutter and cartridge (Provo Craft), and doily.
The next two card used this sketch from Artful Delight.
The first card I was not crazy about when I finished it but it has grown on me.
Supplies: cardstock (Close to My Heart), pattern paper (Bo Bunny), washi tape (Queen & Co. and Doodlebug Designs), stamp (Deep Red Rubber), ink (Stampabilities), embossing powder (Gel-a-tins), fabric (K & Co.), overlay (Colorblok), doily, dew drops (The Robin's Nest), gelato (Faber-Castell), and Stickles
This card has lots of layers and details that I am loving.
Supplies: pattern paper (Pebbles Inc.), washi tape (Bella Blvd.), rhinestones (Eyelet Outlet), stickers (Simple Stories), brad (S.E.I) punch (EK Success), and doily
This card was made using the Paper Secrets card sketch. I also made it for a challenge on a different private board.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Studio Calico) stamp (Studio G), ink (Stampabilities), trim (Hobby Lobby) and rhinestones (The Paper Company)
Tomorrow I am going to share with you the layouts.

Farewell to S~N~S

As the old saying goes "All things must come to an end". This is my last post as a member of this fantastic design team.
Here is the latest sketch from S~N~S.
This is what I came up with. A Christmas page of my mom. The photos are from the late 70's.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Graphic 45, My Mind's Eye and Pink Paislee), mist (Heidi Swapp), sticker (Lily Bee Designs), twine (Timeless Twine) border punches (Fiskars and EK Success), die-cut (Pink Paislee), journaling block (Bo Bunny) and tag (The Paper Company), decorative scissors and sewing machine.
As you can tell I scrap out of order nd season. I like doing this way since it allows me to work with photos that inspire me at that time.
Don't forget about my product challenge. It goes until the 28th 12 A.M. The details are here.

Product Challenge

Today's birthday challenge for S~N~S has to do with baker's twine, of course. I love my twine and I thought  this would be a time to do a product challenge.
On this page I used the twine to frame my photos and I also did a doodle trail.

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio) pattern paper (American Crafts and Craft Paper), stickers (October Afternoon) washi tape (Target), border punches (Fiskars), mists (Heidi Swapp), electronic cutter and cartridges (Cricut), twine (Timeless Twine), arrow (Scenic Route), paper clip and doily.
I love the twine trail and the little star confetti from my border punch.
I use glossy accents is my glue of choice. I let it set up a bit before I lay my twine onto it.
Now, it is your turn to have some create a layout or card and upload it below. One lucky person will win this:
Ten yards of each color of twine.
If you are an international winner I will give you a $20.00 gift certificate to the Scrapbook Nerds store.
If the linking tool don't work just leave the link in the comment section. You have until June 28th  12 a.m. to have your card or layout posted.

S~N~S #32

Today, is the first day of the month and that means a sketch reveal over at S~N~S.
I love this sketch. I like it can hold so many photos.
For this page I am going to scrap about my dad building my shelf in my craft room earlier this year.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Echo Park and Prima), embossing machine and folders (Sizzix), stickers (Echo Park), decorative tape (Target), twine (Timeless Twine), pom-poms (American Crafts), subway art (Creating Keepsakes free printable), ink (Quick Quotes) and buttons.
Frugal tip: When you run out out the letter "E" stickers flip the "3" around. This is what I did in the word "Shelf".

ILL Pup

As many of you know my sweet Buster had been ill for a while with ears problems. On March 9th it go worse. He had an abscess that popped. Since then he has had ear surgery which removed the growths in his ears, instead of the whole canal, and is healing up beautifully. AT the end of the week there will be no more E-collar.
To document this I created this page of him before surgery.
I used sketch #31 from S~N~S.

Supplies: cardstock (Die Cuts With a View), pattern paper (Studio Calico) mist (Heidi Swapp) washi tape (Target), rub-ons (American Crafts) stickers (Studio Calico and Lily Bee Designs) twine (Timeless Twine), eyelet (Recollections), journal tag (Pretty Little Studio), punch (EK Success).
I love  how this page came out. The only thing I didn't like was when I stitched those arrows. I forgot to remove the journaling card behind the photo. Yup, I sewn the long story into the page. So learn from my mistake. Instead of redoing everything I just wrote it again on the back of the page.
