Off With the Ties

This page I created for the last challenge over at Challenge Me Happy. Sad thing is I have only got to play over there a couple of times this year. It is an Anything Goes challenge so I created this fun page of my brother over 20 years ago.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Echo Park), stickers (Echo Park, Fancy Pants Designs, Basic Grey,  and Simple Stories), ephemera (Glitz Designs), number plate (Close to My Heart), mist (Ranger), twine (Timeless Twine), diy enameled dots, washi tape (7 Gypsies), and gelato (Faber-Castell)

Projects of the Week

This week the crafting bug hit me hard. Besides making the purse I have made 5 single page layout, 1 double and 5 cards. Today, I am going to share with you the cards. The four birthday cards I am entering them into the Moxie Fab World Birthday Card Challenge.
The thing that contribute to this is my thumb is finally better. The start of this year I injured it when I got it caught in a big, heavy cast iron pan I was washing. I am no longer wearing the brace to keep it from popping out of its joint.
The first two cards are created for the 10-minute craft dash.
This first card took me 6 min. and 35 sec. The funny thing was I had my timer set for 5 minutes instead of 10. I used S~N~S #5 card sketch for this.
Supplies: cardstock (Die Cuts With a View), pattern paper (October Afternoon), punch (EK Success), brads (?), twine (Timeless Twine), ink (Stampabilities), stamp (Inkadinado)
This card took the full 10 minutes. I am in love with this one. I ended up using this card for another challenge on a private board I am on.

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio and Close to My Heart), pattern paper (Echo Park and  Crate Paper, gelato (Faber-Castell), twine (Timeless Twine), ink (Stampabilities), stamp (Inkadinado), electronic die cutter and cartridge (Provo Craft), and doily.
The next two card used this sketch from Artful Delight.
The first card I was not crazy about when I finished it but it has grown on me.
Supplies: cardstock (Close to My Heart), pattern paper (Bo Bunny), washi tape (Queen & Co. and Doodlebug Designs), stamp (Deep Red Rubber), ink (Stampabilities), embossing powder (Gel-a-tins), fabric (K & Co.), overlay (Colorblok), doily, dew drops (The Robin's Nest), gelato (Faber-Castell), and Stickles
This card has lots of layers and details that I am loving.
Supplies: pattern paper (Pebbles Inc.), washi tape (Bella Blvd.), rhinestones (Eyelet Outlet), stickers (Simple Stories), brad (S.E.I) punch (EK Success), and doily
This card was made using the Paper Secrets card sketch. I also made it for a challenge on a different private board.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Studio Calico) stamp (Studio G), ink (Stampabilities), trim (Hobby Lobby) and rhinestones (The Paper Company)
Tomorrow I am going to share with you the layouts.

Double, Singles and a Card

A couple of weeks age I created this page of my mom's birthday from last year.
For this page I used Pamela Young's #237 sketch. I am entering this in About A Girl  bold challenge.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio) pattern paper (Die Cuts With a View, The Paper Studio and Crate Paper), mist (Heidi Swapp), mask (The Crafter's Workshop), washi tape (7 Gypsies and Echo Park), grommets (We R Memory Keepers) , brad (Crate Paper), stickers (American Crafts and ?) stamp (K & Company) ink (Stampabilities), journal card (Webster's Pages) border punch (EK Success) and modeling paste.
This page is of a photo of me when I was a baby. I am entering this page in About a Girl doily challenge
This is the last page I created that I can share at this moment.  This page was a tough one for me because I ran out of creative juices and the patterns and colors were not helping it at all. To make this page cohesive I added little embellishments which complemented everything.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Die Cuts With a View, Studio Calico, and Echo Park), twine (Timeless Twine), flair (Fancy Pants), rub-ons: (Doddle Bug Designs), gears (The Paper Studio), journal spot (The Robin's Nest), stickers (American Crafts and Simple Stories), and embossing powder.
Here is a card. I had the base of this done for a month but never finished it until this week. Thanks to a friend of mine who sent me the love tag I was able to complete this card in a matter of minutes.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill),  pattern paper (Crate Paper and Webster's Pages), electronic die cutter and cartridge (Provo Craft), mist (Heidi Swapp), stamp (Deep Red Stamps), dew drops (The Robin's Nest), ink (Close To My Heart), doily and tag.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope these projects inspired you to do a creative project today.

Mom Layouts

Last week, I got some Halloween paper at Hobby Lobby because I don't have Halloween paper. I created this page of my mom and her friends when she was little.
I used the sketch from Crafty Steals (it can be found here). Also,  I used a recipe challenge from a friend on Club CK.

  • Two or three photos of any kind of celebration, could be birthday, Christmas, anniversary, retirement, valentines, fun day at school, any celebration
  • Twine, string or floss
  • Stitching (machine,hand, rub-on, or faux)
  • At least one button or brad
  • Pen or marker

Supplies: cardstock (American Crafts and The Paper Studio), pattern paper (The Paper Studio and Basic Grey), washi tape (Target and Queen & Co.), twine (Timeless Twine), mists (Heidi Swapp) stickers (K & Co. and Glitz Design), electronic die cutter, software and cartridge - Opposites Attract (Cricut), embossing machine and folder (Sizzix), brads (My Mind;s Eye) grommet (We R Memory Keepers) ink (Color Box and Stampabilities), marker( Bic) and pom-pom trim
I am in love with stitching with twine and these simple arrows.
I add the dots to the word "BAND".I cut "Spooks)out with my Cricut, embossed it, ink it. I love the wiggle eyes in the O's.

Tie It Up

Today is the second week for the current challenge over at ABAC. The continuing challenge is Tie It Up which means anything you can tie needs to be used on your project.
This notebook I did for my mom because she has been begging for one for awhile. I guess she likes all the other ones I made for myself and gave as gifts that she wanted one too.

Love

Last week I created this page that I am in love with. I made it for Colorful Creations "So You Think You Can Scrap" challenge.
On this page I only used two pattern papers.
For the pinwheel I cover plain cardstock is washi tape.
I used photo corners for the arrows.
Also here is a card I did that I love. Also for this card I got to use some of my new goodies form A Cherry On Top.
For this card I used Pamela Young's sketch #229
