Valentine Card Recap

Last week was Valentine's Day. I made some special cards for my family. In addition to the cards, I made each family member a special sweet treat. For dinner, I made heart-shaped pizzas and chili.

This was my mom's card. Her sweet treat was chocolate brownies with frosting.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Pink Paislee and American Crafts), die cuts (American Crafts and Crate Paper), chipboard (Maya Road), washi tape (Scotch Expressions) and wood veneer (Crate Paper)

This pop-up box card was my dad's. He also got lemon biscotti.
Supplies: cardstock (My Mind's Eye), pattern paper (Crate Paper), die cuts (Crate Paper), chipboard (Simple Stories and Maya Road), wood veneer (Crate Paper), and washi tape (Scotch Expressions)

The last card was for my brother to go along with his oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Studio Calico and Crate Paper), die cuts (Crate Paper), chipboard (Maya Road), and Wash tape (Scotch Expressions)

Happy Wish Card

I am back today to share a card with you that I created for the Scrapbook & Cards Today monthly sketch challenge.

Here is my take on it. That butterfly tag is super old, it is from American Crafts Gardenia collection.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Pretty Little Studio), die cuts (Pretty Little Studio), tag (American Crafts), stickers (Crate Paper), baker's twine (My Mind's Eye), border punch (EK Success), foil (Heidi Swapp) and Minc

From an angle, you can tell the abstract line paper is foiled. I like how this card came together and it is a little different for me with so many bold patterns and colors all together.

So Stuffed

Over the weekend, I finished scrapping my last batch of printed photos of the main 2017 events. The page I am about to share is for the Scrap Our A Stash Jan.15th-29th Blend-A-Sketch Challenge.
I scrapped some of the food photos of Thanksgiving. I blended the sketch by using 4 photos and the journaling area from the first sketch and the angle and title placement from the second sketch.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Photo Play Paper and Fancy Pants Designs) die cuts (K&Co., Jilllibean Soup, Pretty Little Studio, My Mind's Eye, Scenic Route), stickers (Simple Stories and American Crafts), journaling spot (Making memories) , brad (My Mind's Eye), enamel embellishments (Crate Paper), rhinestones (?), embroidery floss (We R Memory Keepers), doily (DoodleBug Designs), typewriter (Typecast), stitching template (American Crafts) and washi tape (My Mind's Eye)

I ended up using a really old journaling spot on this page, it was from Making Memories. I used a mix of stitching and Thickers for my title.
I love the doilies peeking out from the edge and accented by the rhinestones and enamel shapes.
That tag is a free printable from Pretty Little Studio's collection Sweet Life. I printed it on parchment paper which gave it a softer tone.

Santa All I Want....

I am getting closer to finishing scrappy 2017 photos. I only do one Christmas layout for my album since I do a December Daily mini album. This page was based on a Sketch Savy sketch that a scrapbook group used for their monthly scrapbook challenge.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Echo Park Paper Co.), die cuts (American Crafts, Pretty Little Studio) manual dies (Sizzix), stickers (Echo Park Paper Co. and Simple Stories), flair (Fancy Pants Designs), trim (American Crafts and Ladybug(?)), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps)

Here is a closer look at the corner cluster.

I meant to type the journaling but remembered after I already adhered the card to the layout.

Best Wishes Card

I am stopping by today to share a quick card that I created today for a challenge on a scrappy board. This card took only a couple of minutes to whip up. I love the 6.5" x 6.5" paper pads from KaiserCraft because they have cute element punchout embellishments. This will make a great guy birthday card.

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Kaiser Craft), stitching template (American Crafts), wood veneer (American Crafts), embroidery floss (DMC)

Here is a closer look at the stitching.

Right Now Dad Just For You

As of now this is my last layout to share this week. I am caught up on layouts that I created this year so far.
Today's feature Let's Get Sketchy sketch

This page is page one of two (the second one is not made yet) of my Dad's birthday. If you notice the date on the page you might also realize that day was Thanksgiving in the US too.
Supplies: pattern paper (Simple Stories), stamp (Studio Calico), flair (Pretty Little Studio), die cuts (Pretty Little Studio), foil (Heidi Swapp), mist (Tattered Angels), journaling cards(Webster's Pages and Pretty Little Studio), stamp ink (Tsukineko), stamping tool (MISTI), border punch (Fiskars) stitching template (American Crafts), pen and embroidery floss.

The journaling card behind the cake photo is super old. I think it was like from the second collection by Allison Kreft for Webster's Pages.

I just added foil to half of the "Right Now" die cut. I love mixing up titles. This features a die cut, stitching, and stamping.

New Year's Celebration

Today's scrapbook page I will be sharing is based on Stuck?! Sketches 1.15.18 reveal.

I scrapped New Year's celebration. The after photo of the confetti fight (my parents get a little too crazy when it comes to the confetti) and the pear and/or banana crepes.

Supplies: pattern paper (Echo Park Paper Co., The Robin's Nest and Studio Calico), marker (Design Memory Craft), typewriter (We R Memory Keepers), transparency (Studio Calico) border punch (EK Success), die cuts (Basic Grey, My Mind's Eye, and Pretty Little Studio), stickers (Crate Paper and Pinkfresh) and flair (Fancy Pants Designs)

Here is a closer look at the title work.

The color transparency is a super old product from Studio Calico. I thought the different world location on them made them a great addition to use on a New Year page.
I will be back soon to share another page.

First Time Building ... Let's Get Sketchy

I am still doing a catch up on my scrapping of 2017 holidays or everyday moments. Today, I am sharing a "Dad Brag" page I did with a Let's Get Sketchy sketch.

This page is documenting the sofa building that my dad did last year. It was his first time doing this and I have to they turned out great.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper: Crate Paper and American Crafts) stickers (American Crafts, Carta Bella, and A Beautiful Mess), die cuts (Pretty Little Studio, American Crafts Fancy Pants Designs, and My Mind's Eye), brad (My Mind's Eye), flair (Pretty Little Studio), paperclip (Crate Paper), tools (Minc, frame punch board, and stapler)

Here is a closer look. I added foil to the Pretty Little Studio cut-apart flag and die cut word.

I am trying to use up my stash of old product and I am happy to say I am following through. On this page, I used a "2" brad that I have had for years.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be sharing more this week.

Is This Thing On......Welcome Back

First, let me say Happy New Year! Sorry for that long hiatus. The last half of the year I was busy working in my Etsy shop and getting it ready for the busy Christmas season so that left no room for blogging or crafting for me time.

I am back. Since the new year, I have been having some me crafting time, which means scrapbooking 2017 photos. This page I am sharing with you today was the first time I did a 12x12 page in almost 3 months. I used a sketch from Stuck? Sketches.

Here is my take on it.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (My Mind's Eye, Echo Park Paper Co., and Fancy Pants Designs), doily (DoodleBug Designs), die cuts (Fancy Pants Designs and Pretty Little Studio), stickers (Heidi Swapp and American Crafts) washi tape (We R Memory Keepers) brads (Eyelet OutletBasic Grey), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps), flair (Fancy Pants Designs), tools (typewriter, Minc, mini heart punch, and frame punch board) embroidery floss and stitch template (American Crafts)

   Here is a closer look.

I love the mix match scatter of stuff.

I got a mini Minc for Christmas and I am loving the foil touches. Did you know you can foil the Pretty Little Studio's papers that are printed in black?

Labor of Goodness

This week I must have been in a scrappy mode since this is my third one that I made this week. The page I am about to share is of 2017 Labor Day. I don't think I have ever scrapped that holiday before. I used sketch #136 from Sketch~N~Scrap.

This is my take on it. As you can see I changed it up a bit to fit my needs.

Supplies: pattern paper (Studio Calico, Pink Paislee and Pretty Little Studio), journaling card (Becky Higgins), stickers (American Crafts and Beautiful Mess), chipboard (Crate Paper), typewriter (We R Memory Keepers) cut apart (Pretty Little Studio), wood veneer (American Crafts), trim (American Crafts) embroidery floss (We R Memory Keepers), punch board (We R Memory Keepers), stitching template (American Crafts), sewing machine and stapler.

Here is a closer look at the title work and some of the typewritten journaling.

I originally was going to type my journaling onto the page but the top frame got caught in the typewriter, which tore the frame so I used the fun pom-pom trim as a way to cover up the mess.

S & J

Earlier this month was my parents' 37th wedding anniversary so this page is to document it. I used the Scrap Our Stash tic tac toe challenge.
I chose the last row for my three options, dictionary paper (background), kraft (Happy Note card), and circle (the & and flair badge).
Supplies: pattern paper (Crate Paper, Pink Paislee, Fancy Pants Designs and Pretty Little Studio), journaling cards (Simple Stories), stickers (American Crafts and Fancy Pants Designs), flair badge (Studio Calico), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps), wood veneer (Little B) stamps (EK Success), black dye ink), embroidery floss, sewing template (American Crafts), and punch (Beautiful Mess)

Here is a little closer look at the title. I love using letters from printed papers as part of the title.
