This month's card sketch at Stick It Down was designed to feature a center focal point.
I created this masculine shaker card with the color palette of black/silver/wood.
Supplies: cardstock (Cardstock Warehouse), die (Scrapbook.com), tools (Spellbinders), blending brush (Pickett Fence), stencil (TCW), color medium (Scrapbook.com, Staz-onz, American Crafts) stamps (EK Sucess), sequins (SpiegelMom Scraps)
I don't know if you have tried this but I used a blending brush to apply embossing ink with the stencil. I removed the stencil, applied embossing powder and heat set it. I love the texture of the powder to the brick design.
I finished this card off with a star shaker element and the background was done with wood paper. I then added a few drops of Pops of Color along the card.
You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of the sketches. Just add your creation in the link in the Stick It Down sidebar. If you share on social media, please use the hashtag #StickItDown. We’ll choose one winner from the entries and they will be invited to guest design for us in October.
