Birthday Wishes Tag

I am so sorry, that it has been 2 months since the last post. In the summer, it seems like the blog gets put on the back burner while I spend my time on other social platforms.

Today, I am sharing a cute tag that I created last night for the Where Creativity Meets C9 #11 challenge, embossing. I opted to do heat embossing. I am in a tag making phase since I have so many cards made. Tags are something I am in need of since I stick them in my Etsy orders

I broke out my glitter embossing powder and heat embossed the cute citrus stamp from Concord and 9th. I then watercolored the tag with gelatos.

Supplies: watercolor paper (Faber-Castell), watercolor crayons (Design Memory Craft), stamps (Concord and 9th and Simon Says Stamps), embossing powder (Stampin' Stuff), ink (Versa Mark and Stazon), and twine (Bella Creationz)

Tag Time

Today was a rainy fall day so after the farmer's market I headed downstairs with my homemade spice latter to create a cute tag. Last week,  I came across a tad challenge site which I happened to fall in love with. It is called Tag You're It. Each week there is a inspiration photo and this is this week's.

Here is my take on it.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Crate Paper), chipboard (Studio Calico), ribbon (Love Bug Creations), doily (Doodlebug Designs), tag (?), manual die (Heidi Swapp), manual die cutter (Spellbinders), and staple.

I am now in love with tags so I am planning on making a bunch of them with scraps from my 6 x 6 paper pads.

I borrowed my dad's stapler to add the ribbon to this. While I was doing it my dad said staples on a card, which he didn't know it was a tag. I said of course.

Tag and Timeless Twine Challenge

July is here and it is time for another great challenge with Timeless Twine.  The challenge rules are simple:
1. Make any kind of a project that uses a tag.
2. Use fun bright colors (Summery colors).
3. Must use Timeless Twine. (If you haven't had a chance to purchase Timeless Twine yet, you may substitute with embroidery floss, hemp, yarn, etc.) Off brand bakers twine will NOT be accepted.
You have until July 31st at 11:59 p.m EST to enter.
I create this cute tag that can stand on its own.  The is stitched into the card. It was easy to do. I just took a die-cut(you could freehand it)  and traced it onto a stamped tag. I then went back with a pushpin to pokes holes.
Supplies: tag (Cored'ations), stamps (Stampin' Up!), inks (Close To My Heart and Stampabilities). and twine (Timeless Twine)
Here is a card I made that didn't have the summery color palette but  it needed a color to make it pop.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Glitz Designs), stamp (Glitz Designs), ink (Stampabilities), washi tape (7 Gypsies), punches (Fiskars and EK Success), stickers (Glitz Designs), die-cut (Studio 112), and doily.
See how the tag changes the look of the card. It makes it look brighter and happier.
One lucky entrant will win a 160 yard spool of twine, neon gift tags - parcel tags assortment
and neon glitter mini clothespins.
Check out Timeless Twine blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with.

Spring Cleaning

This week's challenge over at ABAC is "Spring Cleaning". We want you to use your and neglected items that you have. and create anything because this is anything that goes challenge.
This was a great challenge for me since I have a lot of old stuff that I should use more often. I created this cute gift bag with matching tag from a collection of My Mind's Eye papers I got in 2009.
This was a pile of the scraps I used,
Here is the bag and tag.
I love the all those papers together. I just glued these papers to a plain white gift bag.

Here is the tag. For the flower I used a punch and I fussy cut one of the flowers from one of the papers.
I hope you join in the spring cleaning with us over at ABAC.
