On The Run - SBC #434

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I sure did. Spent it cooking up some yummy foods, watching the Love Come Softly movies on Hallmark, hanging out with my family and of course crafting. Also, I went contact lenses free.

Now, onto this month's kickoff for April sketches over at Scrapbook Challenges.  Sketch reveal #434

Supplies: pattern paper (Crate Paper), stickers (American Crafts, My Mind's Eye and October Afternoon), washi tape (Scotch Brand), die cuts (Scenic Route), mist (Tattered Angels), doily (The Paper Studio), border punch (EK Success), and diy enameled dots.

One thing I wanted to point out about a product I used on this page were the "XO" die cuts. Those are from Scenic Route that I got from the years ago before they closed. They came in a grab bag. I am embarrassed to say keep forgetting about them. I think I have only used them on one other project in all that time they have been in my stash. I am trying to bust my stash this year so I don't feel guilty when I do get something new.  I shouldn't have that feeling since I only buy things every once in a while.

Thanks for popping by and be sure to head over to Scrapbook Challenges to see what the rest of the design team made for this great sketch.

A Spotted Dog - Child's Play Challenges

The current challenge over at Child's Play Challenges has been revealed and I have to tell you it is a good one. We teamed up with Pixels and Paper for this challenge.
This week's photo comes is courtesy of Pixels and Paper. Seeing that this is a special event, Child's Play decided to add a recipe challenge to the mix.
Recipe:
gold
animal
something older than 1 year
3 patterned papers
bling
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Stdio)pattern paper (Echo Park and My Mind's Eye), doily (The Paper Studio), brad (Bo Bunny), chipboard (Scenic Route), stickers (American Crafts, Studio Calico and My Mind's Eye) and pen (Project Life)
Here is how I was inspired by these challenges.
Gold: doily
Animal: Dog in the photo
Older than 1 yr: Chipboard frame (That is super old. I got it in a mystery bag from Scenic Route a couple of years before they closed).
3 patterned papers Yup, that is all  used.
Bling: the big brad
The photo inspired me to go with antique looking photos.
This page is a little fancier than what I normally do for a layout of Buster but I couldn't help it one this page. I blame the gold doily I used. Something about them that make me go a little fancy.
