There is no secret in my family that I love the chevron pattern . I have home decor items, clothing and of course paper craft items with this great pattern. This month's pattern challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges is all about the chevron.
Here is my take on it.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Fancy Pants Designs, Basic Grey and Close to My Heart), stickers (American Crafts, My Mind's Eye and Glitz Designs), wood veneers (Crate Paper), epoxy wood veneer dot (American Crafts), sequins (Hobby Lobby), journaling cards (Project Life and a Creating Keepsake free printable), diecuts (Studio Calico and Teresa Collins), punch (We R Memory Keepers), bakers twine (Bella Creationz), doily (Doodlebug Designs), stamp (American Crafts and Jenni Bowlin), ink (Tsukineko and Umbrella Crafts), gems (Studio Calico) and washi tape (Hobby Lobby).
Here are a few close ups. The title card was one I had in my stash that I printed years ago when Creating Keepsakes online community was called Club CK. I miss those days.
To create the tab on the hidden journaling spot all I did was punch the top with the envelope punch board.
I might have loved the wood veneers from the Kiss Kiss line from Crate Paper so much that I bought another set after Valentine's Day. I couldn't resist the $1.19 price that my grocery store was selling them for.
Ahhh I love chevron! And am loving wood veneers. That's a great idea creating the tab with the envelope punch board. I need to try that!
