Happy Sunshine and Fun Adventure

Hello, everyone. Today, I am going to share a layout that I created that is based on August 1st sketch from Sketches in Thyme
Here is my take on this sketch. The layout is of my grandmother that I never knew.
Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (ColorBok, K & Co.,Crate Paper,Simple Stories, Studio Calico, and Pretty Little Studio), stickers (Fancy Pants Designs, Heidi Swapp, My Mind's Eye and Crate Paper), mist (Tattered Angels), mask (American Crafts), manual die (Heidi Swapp), tools (Spellbinders and Fiskars), doily (DoodleBug Designs), and sequins (Studio Calico)

The papers that I used to create this page was all from my little pattern paper scrap bag. I love that I was able to use a lot of scraps and that they all worked together.
I love this journaling card, it seems to fit the layout perfectly.

Independence Day Layout

Do you know that Scrapbook & Cards Today has a monthly sketch challenge?  This month was a layout sketch from Page Maps.

I created this fun 4th of July page. This year I wasn't in the mode of taking a lot of photos so I just had a couple of pics so this sketch was perfect.
I used an assortment of die cuts from Pretty Little Studio, Elle's Studio, Studio G, My Mind's Eye, and Jillibean Soup.

   Here is a closer look.

The washi tape is from Hobby Lobby's seasonal themed collection.

July Card Stick It Down Reveal

Today is my first-time card reveal over at Stick It Down. The card sketch is by Laura Rumble. I have to say I am loving this design. Check out the whole reveal on Stick It Down blog.

Here is my card that I created. This card was given to my Mom for her birthday.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Pretty Little Studio), die cuts (Pretty Little Studio), manual die cut (Echo Park Paper Co.), stamp (EK Success), stamp ink (Momento), die cutter (Spellbinders), washi tape (Scotch Brand), embroidery floss (We R Memory Keepers), enamel dot (My Mind's Eye) and foam squares (Scrapbook Adhesive)

The "HEY" die cut had print faux stitching on it but I wanted it to pop so I went over it with hand stitching.

Here is the completed card with the envelope and seal.
   Thanks for stopping by.

#Siblings

Hope everyone had a nice Independence Day. Here in Michigan, it was another super hot and humid day so staying inside with the AC was a must.

When I saw this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy, I knew what photo was going to be used.
http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com/2018/07/july-1-sketch-challenge.html

Here is my take. I used mostly my petite kit from The Wild Hare Kit club.  However, I did add some items from my stash like the wood veneer, aryclics, flair, and adventure theme die cuts.
   Here is a closer look.
My dad has very few photos of him growing up. I scanned the original and edited the photo since it was super dark. The bike die cut was original pink so I ended up coloring to fit the page better.
I love this little cluster,

Mini Album with Video

Back in May was Ali Edward's "Week In A Life", it is when you document your entire week. This is actually the first year that I have actually completed it. Yeah, Me!

I have uploaded a short walk through the album. There is no audio.
I have combined two boot shape chipboard mini albums and a canvas star album to create this album. I covered the chipboard albums with Maggie Holmes "Bloom" collection and inked all the edges to get rid of the naked chipboard edge. It is fully decorated with an assortment of die cuts by My Mind's Eye, American Crafts, Studio Calico and Pretty Little Studio.  that I have had in my stash for years.

Father's Day Layout

Saturday I got to sit down and play with my The Wild Hare Kit that came in the mail Friday. Here is what I got in the June petite kit. They did a great job at picking my elements that fit my style.

I a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy, May 15th reveal.

Here is a scrapbook page I created for Father's Day. I love how this looks. Now, I just have to print my Sunday's photos and add it to the page. I will place photos of my dad with me and my brother (two horizontal prints and one vertical print) in the framed area.

I Am Guesting

I have some exciting news to share. I am going to be guest designing for the month of September over at The Wild Hare Kit Club.
This kit club is very unique, their kits are hand-curated. All you have to do is fill out a style profile and they do the rest.
Before  Septemeber, I am going to share some projects that I created a petite kit I just order.

Summer Studio

It is warmer here in Michigan and that means my paper crafting portion of my craft space gets moved to the basement. I am loving this year's setup.

Here is a little tour. My space takes up a small corner of the basement.

I brought down one of the metal shelves that I have upstairs in my studio closet and the Ikea cart.

This spot is my stamping, die cutting and embossing area.

A nice bar height area to work at.

This spot table is a perfect spot to do the journaling for layouts.

HB2U Card

At the moment, I am currently loving minimal cards so stamps can shine. I saw this type of card on Jennifer McGuire blog last night. It is the first time I have did this type of card with the stamp images gets broken up by a matted area.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio and My Color Cardstock), ink (Hero Arts and Momento), stamps (Studio Calico and CAS-ual Fridays), tool (MISTI)

Here is a closer look at the design, I love that circles lined up. MISTI for the win.

Inside I did use another stamp from CAS-ual Fridays birthday set that I used for the HB2U on the front.

Published

I got published in the summer issue of Creative Scrapbooker., I am on page 132. I made this card early this year for the call and I am still in love with it.

Inside the card, I stamped a birthday sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays. I love stamping the sentiment on to my project once I got the MISTI.

The floral pattern paper was black and white and I watercolored the flowers in with watercolor crayons. I love how it gave this paper "Life".  I used the packaging paper to create the envelope seal.

Custom Challenge

Last week I was offered a custom order for pop-up cards for orchestra leaders. I can say I was super happy with how they came out and I have only ever created one pop-up card before.  I have a short video of the card inaction on my Instagram page.

I created some of the cards with a lady pop-up and some with a gentleman pop-up.
I love when I can create something to help someone else's vision comes to life. If you want to check out my Etsy shop check MJ's Kraze. I am always open to custom orders.

National Scrapbook Day Recap

Hello everyone, I took a little crafty hiatus in April so I didn't lose the creativity on National Scrapbook Day. I spent all day Saturday scrapbooking and still took breaks for cooking.

I got to do a scraplift and this page of my dad as a little boy has to be one of my favorite layouts that I had did that day.

I was able to get my past birthday scrapped.
The "celebrate" on the large photo is one that I brush-lettered. I am currently learning it and so far I am loving it.

The last set of pages I created was about Easter.
I had to make a card on this day. Of course, I created this and missed the deadline for entering it in the challenge.
