My Life and Cards

Like I said in yesterday's post today's post was going to be late. This morning was bad everything that could go wrong did. Woke up at 6 to get ready for my eye doctor appointment to check my contact lenses. While I was getting my contacts in I heard my parents saying the less than three year old refrigerator broke. All of all frozen food was throwing (bone broth, berries, eggnog, coconut water, etc.) Luckily, we have another refrigerator so we saved as much as we could and put it the other one. After all that, we kept calling the eye doctor because the roads were bad and wanted to make sure they were open.  They finally opened at 30 minutes before the appointment but we got it moved to hour and half later. After that, I noticed lost my contact in my bad eye. Looked for a half hour couldn't find it canceled the appointment and ordered a new one. Half hour later I found the stupid contact lens got the appointment back. Went to it, found out I need a newer prescription and a better fitting lens. So next week I am getting a new set and will be back there in two weeks for another contact exam. $300 and one irritated dog later the refrigerator is fixed.

   Now onto the promised cards.

Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Carta Bella and The Paper Studio), sequins (Fancy Pants Designs), stickers (Carta Bella), wood veneer (Studio Calico)

The final one is from Sketches in Thyme
This page is documenting my eye health journey for this month. I am sure there will be more eye layouts in the future. The photos were taken of before  and after I got contacts.
Supplies: pattern paper (LilyBee Designs, Crate Paper, and Echo Park), doily (Doodlebug), stickers (Elle's Studio, Studio Calico and SRM Stickers), stitching template (American Crafts), embroidery floss, wood veneer (?) stamp (glitz Designs), ink (Stampabilities) flair (Studio G), marker (Faber-Castell), journaling card (Project Life), diecut (My Mind's Eye), sequins (Hazel & Ruby)
I am a huge fan of hidden journaling. I love keep my personal feelings hidden on pages.
I used vellum stickers for "vision"  because it blends in and it makes it hard to see. It seemed perfect since I am scrapping about eyes.

Tomorrow, I will share some of the cards I made. However, I have an eye doctor appointment in the morning so it might be late posting.

Two pages for Two Challenges

Since the New Year, I have been on a scrapping kick for challenges. I was in a middle of a design team vacation due to holidays and I thought the perfect way to spend it was to play with a lot of different sketch challenge sites.
In this post I will just share two of the many layouts I have done.

p.s. I am wearing the contacts now with little to no  irritated eyelids now. I am going to the eye doctor this week still for another eye check-up. I am have a funny feeling a lot of those are still in my future due to keratoconus is a progressive disease.
Now, my family have to get use to seeing me with no glasses. Every time I am not they think I don't feel well.

Winter Hiatus

Since the beginning of the New Year I have been on a blogging vacation. Even though, I haven't shared anything and it don't mean I have not been productive. I have created 3 cards, 1 altered item and 10+ layouts. I will be sharing everything within the next week.
The reason why I took a break was due to eye health reasons. I have had my eyes checked at the start of the year and it was confirmed I did have keratoconus (coned cornea). I am currently trying out rigid contact lenses to correct the double vision (which helps 99%) but I hate them. My eyelids are so tender from wearing them that I am dreading the time of the day I need to put them in. Next week, I have a follow up appointment to see how they are working for me but at this point I am really want to ditch them and live with the double. I am also looking for alternatives and am considering a new treatment and getting these rings in my eye so I don't have to wear contacts.
