A Taped Layout + Card DT Call

Everyone that knows me knows that I have to have twine, mists, pom-pom trim or washi tape on my projects.  This Fourth of July page I created last week ended up have three of the four.
So when I saw the March challenge over at Love My Tapes I knew I wanted to play along.
I scraplifted this amazing layout by Heather Landry
When I punched out the star border I saved the negatives for the confetti scatters. This page has five different washi tapes on it too. I used the solid red as a border on the left side, polka dot under the photos and the banners on the side.
This was the first time I sewed with twine. I came out great.
Supplies: cardstock ( The Paper Studio, Bazzil Basics, and I don't know who made the red one.), pattern paper (The Paper Studio and Jillibean Soup) washi tape (Target and DoddleBug Designs) mist (Ranger), punches (Fiskars), twine (Timeless Twine), gems (KaiserCraft),cut-outs (Jillibean Soup), electronic cutter (Cricut, Opposites Attract cartridge and design Studio - Provo Craft), ink (Quick Quotes), pen (K&Co.), glassine bag,  journal spot (K&Co.) and doily.

Sketch~N~Scrap is expanding. They are going to start offering card sketches. Right now, they are looking for sketch and card designers. You can find all the information here.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Top of the morning to you all and Happy St. Patty's Day.  Today I am featuring a green card that is perfect for today.
Supplies: cardstock (Coredinations); pattern paper (Basic Grey, My Mind's Eye); stickers (Stemma); twine (Timeless Twine - Natural and Olive Green); punch (Fiskars); brad (Bo Bunny?)
I weaved twine in the flower border.
Since this twine is a good thickness it is super easy to stitch with. Also it is easy to thread in an embroidery needle.
If you created a Timeless Twine filled project post it on our Facebook page so we can see.
Don't forget you have until midnight EST tonight to be entered in the Timelessy Odd hop prize.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a fun and safe holiday.

Boy Birthday Card

When I got these Dino rub-ons I thought no way am I ever going to used these. As you can see I was totally wrong. I love them.
Supplies:
Epiphany Crafts Square Punch and Epoxies
Twine
Stamp
Black Ink
Black Marker

The mini neon dew drops makes great Dino spots.
I applied the rub-on to the cardstock and easily made it into an epoxy embellishment with Epiphany's tool. To make look more like a fossil I colored the edges with a marker.

For the envelope seal I punched out the rub-on image with the Epiphany tool without the epoxy.
The crackle paper and mini dew drops are 20% off this month so be sure to stop by the store and stock up.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

Prayes and a Card

Sorry for not posting my ABAC project reveal. This week I have been a wreck worrying over my fur baby. He had an abscess that popped and it was a mess. I would like prayers now because he is going to have to surgery. I am scared he won't make it through it.
I am going to show a quick card I made for a game called Card Chinese Whispers over at Club CK.
The tag made it perfect for the Frosted Designs Friday challenge.

The Timelessly Odd Hop

Some Odd Girl and Timeless Twine decided to get together for a little play date  and we are SO pleased you've joined us!  We hope you’ll find plenty of inspiration as you make your way around to all of the designers’ personal blogs, and be sure to leave a little love at each stop along the way, because there are THREE gorgeous spools of Timeless Twine and one $25 gift certificate to Some Odd Girl up for grabs!
Our hop, now being lovingly referred to as “The Timelessly Odd Hop”, runs now through Sunday, March 17th at midnight EST, so you have plenty of time to make your way around the circuit.  It’s a big hop, ‘cuz we have TONS of amazing designers who were absolutely excited to combine their love for all things cute, quirky, clever, and crafty, so take your time and ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY!

When I received my stamp set I was scared of it because I am not into coloring images because I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on Copics and learn how to used them. Instead, I turned to old school supplies. I choose coloring pencils and chalks. After I colored the girl with my pencils I went back over it with chalk to give it some depth.

I frame the girl with natural twine.
I apply two ink to the word bubble before I stamped it. It gives a nice ombre effect. I also add a small piece of twine to the girl's hair for a ponytail holder.
Supplies: Some Odd Girl ( Flirty Mae), Timeless Twine ( bubble gum pink, purple passion, natural and lemonade yellow) , Studio Calico (butterfly stickers), Lilly Bee Designs (pattern papers), The Paper Studio (cardstock), EK Success (binding edge punch), Ranger (stickles), Heidi Swapp ( mustard spray mist), Stampin' Up! (inks),color pencils , metallic chalk, gem, stick pin and doily.
If you've just dropped by randomly and haven’t been hopping from the beginning, here’s how it’s all going down:

Mandi – http://mjskraze.blogspot.com/ - You Are Here.

So there’s your hop list!  You don’t have to visit everyone in order, but you do have to visit EVERYONE if you want to win the goodies!  And that’s your cue, friends!  Our winners will be announced on Monday, March 18th.  Happy hopping, and GOOD LUCK!

New winner and a Card

I picked another winner after I realized Amy was not eligible for the prize. Too bad it took me so long to correct it. Any way here is our new twine winner. Steffaine.

You can contact me on Club CK.
Here is a card I made last month that I never got around to post here.

I left an opening on the side so this Love polaroid could be pulled out.

Timeless Twine Topper

Since my birthday is approaching fast I have been in the mood of creating birthday theme items. Today I created a quick topper for a gift bag or present.I just dressed up a plain kraft gift bag with a big statement piece.
For the streamers I added  Pumpkin Orange and Graphite Gray twine with crepe paper, ribbon and tulle.

I cut out " happy birthday" out with my electronic die cutting machine and filled in the negative space with Aqua Blue and Purple Passion twine. I love how this came out.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for the fun hop on the 8th. We will be teaming up with Some Odd Girl.

Have a great twine filled day.

#28 Sketch @S~N~S

I am here sitting at my computer at 2 in the morning typing out this out. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Maybe because I was creating something amazing that I will show on March 8th. Here is a little teaser on what it has to do with. Mark your calendars for some fun.

Now on to something I can show off now. It is a page I created this page using sketch #28 at Sketch ~N~Scrap. I love how this birthday page of my mom when she was eight came out.
