Mad Dog M.D.

Saturday I took Buster to a Halloween party at Petsmart. In about 10+ dogs that entered he came in third place, which he ended up getting a certificate and a $5 gift card.
Here is some photos.

As you can see he is a doctor, but he is a special kind. He is a Cat Specialist and he works at Banged-up Kitty Hospital.
Thanks to my dad for his brain storming for the idea for the costume and the names. All I had to do was modify a sewing pattern I had for dog pajamas, sew,, made the head-wear, etc. I can't believe I mad this in two days and finished the day before the party.
I am going to another party soon but this one is a little different, I am going to be dressed up also. What do you think I should be a nurse or a cat that is bandage up?

Dance

No , I am not the one dancing but it is my mom when she was little.
But before I show you some close-ups I want to show you the purse I made that inspired this layout.
I use the same colors and I used doilies to mimic the medallions on the bag.
Close-up of the ric-rac flower.
This is the tutorial I used. http://www.u-createcrafts.com/2012/07/ric-rac-flower-tutorial-by-oh-for.html

This page sure did a lot of challenges for me.  Here is the list.
I think that is all
p.s. I promise I will show you photos of Buster in his costume. Editing the photos are a little challenging. Next time I will take the photos or show my mom how to use the zoom feature on the camera, LOL.

Catch Up

The title about sums up my life. This is what I have been doing this month and until the end of the year. I wouldn't change it for anything. I love what holidays bring and I love to be busy ans making memories and gifts for my family.
As you know I have been under the weather for a couple of months but I am glad to say my coughing is getting better. Now I need  that betterness move unto my ribs. From the constant coughing I ended on pulling a muscle(s) so I am a little tender in the rib area.
Besides of healing, I have been keeping busy with card making. In the last week I have completed a total of TWENTY-TWO cards. Ten of them I mailed off to Paper Crafts WCMD contest. (Keep your fingers cross that I will hear from them at the end of the month).
Here is a card that I made for a different challenge.
After all the cards I needed to sew a costume for Buster for Petsmart Howl-o-ween party.Tuesday I will so you the costume because I have to edit photos of the party. Don't expect great photos because my mom took the pics.

ABAC Challenge #4

Welcome back. Sorry for the lack of posting this month. I have been very busy. I will catch everyone up about that Monday.
Right now, I would  like to show you what I did for this Fall/ Halloween challenge over at ABAC.
I created some spooky Halloween name place tags.
Here is the before.
Here is the after.
I first covered the tags in black cardstock. Added a distress and punched book page. ( Yes, I use a real sheet of book paper that I tore out of one of my books. It was from a book that was misprinted. ) Then
I then added ribbon, spider die cut, metal charms (that I colored), baker's twine, brads, red Stickles and letter stickers.
Stop by ABAC to link up your projects. I would love to see them.
Thanks for stopping by. I see you tomorrow.

Sparkle At ABAC

This week over at ABAC the challenge is Sparkle. When I thought of that I thought of a perfect way to capture my parents wedding photos.
For the sparkly elements I used gems, glimmer mist, a piece of ribbon that is cover in bling and
metallic paper for the flowers underneath the vellum quote.
This page is also sporting some more modeling paste. I love that stuff. Wit that I was able to cover up a tear in the paper.

WCMD

Sorry I didn't get around the last couple of days to post the last installments of Jar Fun for this eek. I have been not feeling well so I took it easy and rested.  I might as well say against my will but my mom made me.
Today is a holiday to card makers. Yes, it is that time of year again, World Card Making Day. Today I am planing on making cards all day for Paper Crafts WCMD contest.
Here is one of the last Mason Jar Fun posts.
This is a tag I made used a jar lid.
I heat embossed the inner section of the lid with a lilac embossing powder.Since the surface is slick this tag can be reused. After it is use that a dry cloth and wipe the names off of it to be used again at a later time.

Day #2

Here I am again late at night typing away at today's post about a mason jar card.
This time I used a cute mason jar image from the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection by American Crafts.
First off, I just have to say whatever Lizzy K puts her name on I am going to fall heads over heels in love with it. She is my all time favorite paper crafter / designer.
Now back on track. This is a cute card friend card that has a lot of layers and texture.
Come back tomorrow for day 3 of jar fun

Day 1 Mason Jar Fun

I meant to post his early Monday morning but here I am typing this almost midnight instead. There goes my good intentions. I have a little collection of the jar rims and I am trying to find some uses for them. I came up with wall art.
I made this with basic paper crafting supplies.
Come back every day this week to see more Mason jar inspired projects.
