The First Snow of 2015 -SBC #FBF 329

It is Friday and that means over at Scrapbook Challenges there is an updated sketch reveal. This week's update is sketch #

What are perfect sketch to document the first shovel-able snow of this year. The snow count was 6 inches and it was the week before Thanksgiving. It looked more like Christmas than this year's Christmas.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Authentique and Studio Calico), stickers (American Crafts, Prima, Pink Paislee and My Mind's Eye), washi tape (Bella Blvd., Scotch Brand and American Crafts), stamp (EK Success), ink (Momenta), pen (Project Life), marker (Bic), and electronic die cutter, cartridge and software (Cricut).

Here is a closer look at the title and journaling.

Mother Goose Challenge

Today is the start of the second challenge over at Child's Play Challenge. The theme is Mother Goose, for me this was a hard challenge.
I searched online for a rhyme to inspired me. I ended up finding one entitled winter. This reminded me of a photo I took years ago at the historical society at their Christmas open house. I also use the the same color palette on my page as the book has.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper ( Fancy Pants Designs, American Crafts, Pink Paislee and Studio Calico), mist (Ranger), twine (Timeless Twine), stitching template (American crafts), wood veneer (Target), doily (Hobby Lobby), gold pen (Faber-Castel), and electronic die cutter and cartridge (Provo Craft).
This page came together very fast. The journaling is kind of snarky if you live in Okemos. The day I made this page I heard on TV the top 10+ tourist spot here and this was #1. It was funny to me since this historical village is small and half of the places are closed when you go there. The other places on that list were very sad. If you see the list it would make you never want to stop here to visit. LOL
Thank for stopping by and hope you have a great day.
God Bless.

Ice of 2013

I know I am a bad blogger. I was suppose to post this Sat. but life got busy and I completely forgot. I have been in knee deep of cleaning my studio and it is all because of this beauty that came.

Enough of my excuse, here is the latest reveal for Simple Sketches and it uses #23 sketch.

When it came time to use the sketch I knew that those circles had to go but I love where they were on the page. I ended up changing them to snowflakes.
Supplies: cardstock (The Paper Studio), pattern paper (Cosmo Cricket, Studio Calico, I Lowe Scrap, and My Mind's Eye), brads (Eyelet Outlet), stickers (American Crafts, Jenni Bowlin and Studio Calico), washi (American crafts, Scotch Expressions and Bella Blvd.), chipboard (Um Wow Studios), doilies and manual die cutter and die (Lifestyle Crafts)
Here is a close up on the journaling. Here is a tip: if you mess up while you write just cover it up with a bit of washi. Add bits of washi throughout the journaling so it looks like it is suppose to be there.
I love how this title came out. The chevron is made from washi.

Be sure to stop by Simple Sketches blog to see the full reveal.
p.s this was made when I saw this date stamp challenge over at Scrapbook Circle, so I am entering it on there.
