HB2U Card

   Over the weekend, I got in the mood to play with a new stamp set that I got for Christmas. I have to say this is my first stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays and I am in love with it. This set had the perfect touch for the guy birthday card. I am still debating whether or not to list it in my shop or keep it for my brother's birthday, which is about 3 months away. 

   I ended up creating this card for the Music to My Ears challenge that CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog.

   This stamp set even comes with great stamps for the inside card text. 

Finishing Up - SBC Liftapalooza

Today over at Scrapbook Challenges we are featuring the Ali. 

   Here is the page that we are showcasing as the lift inspiration. 

   Here is my take on it. 

Supplies: cardstock (Bazzill Basics), pattern paper (Quick Quotes, Studio Calico and American Crafts), washi tape (Hazel & Ruby and We R Memory Keepers),wood veneer (?) tags (Chic Tags, K &Co., Heidi Swapp, Studio Calico and Elle's Studio), stickers (American Crafts and Studio Calico), chipboard (Studio Calico), enamel dots (My Mind's Eye), electronic die cutter, cartridge and software (Cricut) and pen (Project Life) 

   Here are a few close-ups. I love using up little word stickers and tags on pages like this since it is hard to figure out embellishments that would work.  

   A lot of times I use enamel dots ad the dots for "I"s on my die cut titles because I don't have to bother gluing down those tiny dots down.

Hot Hot Hot - Child's Play Challenges

The first challenge this month from Child's Play Challenges has to do with one of my favorite Christmas movies, The Polar Express. I remember the first time I saw it was at NCG theaters. I loved it and the graphics are so life like that one would forget that it was animated. One My family's favorite scene was the Hot Cocoa scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Uuw3JKLO1g

Naturally, I thought of scraping by brother's love to cocoa and my take it or leave it love of it.

I am still loving the stitching templates by Amy Tan. I don't think i will get tired of those things. 

The journaling card was from the antique collection by My Mind's Eye. I just inked the edges with chalk ink.
