I just added some card sketches here. To view them go to the Sketches tab on top.
I have something exciting to share. When I woke up this morning I found out that I am going to be featured over on the Scrapfit blog next week. I say that is a great way to start the day.
On to other things. My dog had his 11th birthday yesterday. Here is a picture of the birthday boy.
Just to give you a little teaser.
If you like the hand sewn swirls on your paper crafted items you won't want to miss this weekends post.

Missed
I participated in the Frosted Design's sketch challenge they had. I finished last week but forgot to post it before Sunday's deadline. I still want to show it off even though I missed it.
Here it is. It is of my mom.
Even though it was for a Frosted Design sketch challenge I am also using as this week's Erika's Issue Challenge over on Club CK and the fabric covered chipboard from Scrapfit.
Here is a card I created that I never thought I would ever use a bee before. I think this came out super cute.

I Intended
I was planing on posting a couple of times this week but time got away. I had a full plate last week trying to get projects done for deadlines (I missed one), finishing up some Valentines, and trying to lose a cough I have (it is going away).
On to cards now.
The first one I sent to a friend.
I was inspired by this challenge over at Burlap & Buttercups.
Next card was done for three different challenges: pink one hour challenge on Club CK, Bo Bunny card challenge and Frosted Design challenge. Papers and brad is from Bo Bunny.
Last thing was this page I created with no sketch in mind. I love how it came out. I also used my signature element. Pom-pom trim. I LOVE that stuff. I love to layer items and different textures on paper crafted items.

Card , Layout. News and Winner
I wanted to show of this card I created using the card sketch from Frosted Designs.
I love how this card came together. Most of the items are from Glitz Design. The rub-on is from Basic Grey, punched paper strip from Websters Pages, gems from My Minds Eye and TPC.
I use the color challenge from Glitz Design's blog.
Here is my card.
Here is a page I did for Scrapfit Blank Canvas challenge.
Here is my first ever hybrid layout. It is of my Mom's first birthday.
The tag and yellow paper are digital items I found online.
News:
I have a couple of things I want to tell you.
1. My friend Amanda (who put together the Valentine Blog Hop) is having a purge giveaway on her blog.
2. I would like to share a site I just found out about it is a sketch site for layouts called Let's Get Sketchy
The Last thing I would like to tell you is the winner for the bookmark from the Hop.
The Winner is MARGIE. Please email your address at cccrafting(at)hotmail(dot)com

Valentine's Blog Hop
Welcome to your last blog. If you didn't come from Hattie's Blog go back to the start at Amanda’s blog.
For my card I made this cute mosaic that I am going to give to my Mom this year.
I used kraft and white cardstock, bakers twine, apron lace border punch, doily die cut from the Mother's Day cartridge from Cricut and what Amanda sent me.
With the left overs I also made a bookmark.

Brother's Valentine Card
This card I made for a lot of challenges. I made it for two challenges over at Club CK ( Ericka's Issue Challenge and this week's card challenge) and Burlap & Buttercups Something Masculine challenge.
I think this card is perfect for my brother. I used three colors on this card, purple, brown and blue.

An Hour Page
Here is another page I did last week. I did for a Creating Keepsakes One Hour Challenge: create a layout wit a ribbon memo board. Too make this a little more challenging I added the Frosted Design Recipe challenge. (I really didn't need to make more challenging since I made this while I was eating dinner and started 15 minutes in the challenge.)
I wrote the recipe down and placed it in the memo board.
Here it is. I got it over 10 years ago from Shara Molton (not sure if spelled right) on Foodnetwork.

Grandma
I did this page about my Grandma on my Mom's side. I never knew her because she passed away when my mom was a teenager. I thought this page is perfect to honor her.
It was inspired by this card that I am selling here
Layout was based on Ashley Horton's sketch over at Frosted Designs.

Thanks and a Layout
I would like to say thanks Burlap & Buttercups for the Dec. kit they donated to Frosted Designs. I got it yesterday. It came with this pleated strip which I used on a layout I did last night. I say it came he perfect day.
I used this a sketch from Burlap & Buttercups and came up with this year.
This page is going to be used for a lot of challenges.

New stuff
This page I did was based on the Sketchy Thursday 1.5 sketch.
The story is about my mom when she was little and an ice cream sandwich.
I also created the cute bookmark that was made out of plain cardstock.

Handmade Christmas Gifts
Every year I make my grandparents something for their presents.
I bought an unfinished shadow box from Hobby Lobby for my grandma and an unfinished waste paper basket for my grandpa. I painted and covered both in scrapbooking papers.
This is what I made for my dog for Christmas.
A turkey leg and a candy bar. If you like these dog toys, which are durable you can buy them from me http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/MJsKraze/2/7/161499/
